I am civil Engr. I have 16 years diabetic experience now I am 68 years I have done many experiments with my sugar. I found rice not as worst as declared, yet white atta is no doubt worst but chaki atta mixed with brown bread floor is best for diabetic and well boiled rice in large water is also good for sugar.

@@seharyousafzai4618 Boil rice in large quantity of water, drain all the water when it is almost done. Rinse them with clear water and steam them on low for few minutes until it is fully done. No salt and oil.

Thanks but another option for flour is to use Jai ( Barley). The glycemic index of Barley is around 28 which is far less than other grains

The problem, if you refrain from wheat and rice is that you will face constipation even with the salads also.... Wheat and rice contain water soluble fibers which keep stool soft and avoid constipation while salads and vegetables have hard cellulose which is not water soluble and cause constipation which is a common cause in keto diet.... That is why, keep any type of water soluble carbohydrates in your daily diet.... I have experienced whole wheat, a small sized roti is enough with walk and exercise...
