Hahaha, life in the Phil’s. We built a sari sari, put a trash can in front, I pick up trash twice a day. Filipinos think the ground is the trash can. I agree about the rules. In driving, most do what they want. But considering that 90% of the drivers just paid a fixer for their license or just don’t have license, that men’s only 10% actually know what the laws are. That’s a nice park. I was lucky to see the worlds largest crock at the crock farm. It died the next year. You should go see the eagle sanctuary, it’s not far from there.

I agree with one of your videos that Filipino women are queen of selfie anywhere,and all expat are only coming to Philippines as their scapegoat to marry pinay because of of them are low maintenance and if there in Philippines they become a vlogger for extra income aside from their 15h $ SS which is not enough if they live in USA but in Philippines they live in abundant

And that is because of the bad leadership of the previous presidents after Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.The law makers themselves were the law breakers 😟

funny indeed... if the traffic police posted a rule, maybe, just maybe, we should listen and follow the rule... oh well, rules are meant to be broken, right..??.. bro'... you have a lot of tact and diplomacy for pointing out something that needs improvement, without "complaining" about it, and without being rude and disrespectful to anyone... clearly, your training in law school comes in handy...

They also break all the road rules..... they way they drive here is shocking. Bold Tires, no lights, bad or no brakes. Littering is the norm. They buy at the sari sari store and throw the paper or what ever it is they cannot eat on the ground. Parents are not teaching their Children not to litter. Nighttime on the road is a horror. How many vehicles have no or faulty lights. Helmet is mandatory, but they do not wear them, even on the highway. On the back roads, almost always. Most helmets are not normal motorbike helmets. They are pushbike helmets, which the Highway police rejects as safety helmets. Most never learn in a driving school......50% or more have no driver's license and no insurance. If a foreigner is involved in an accident, he will be made liable, even if not causing the accident. The whole Filipino system is corrupt. Foreigners have very little rights. The Philippines is not a democracy, my friend. If you follow the political system, it is so out of wack !!! Duterte did not like America and their LGBTQ+ Culture and the blatant bullying of the USA. Duterte was a pro China person, for his family got rich off China. All the shabu coming from China. Marcos Jr is pro America and has given them 4 bases in the Philippines. China will never leave the stolen Island. The Philippine Sea got so much Gas and Oil that China will take it from the Philippines. Marcos will not stop China...... China is stealing fish in millions of tons from the Philippines. Over 50 Chinese fishing boats have been sunk to stop them.....and hundreds are still out there.........

I've lived in the Philippines permanently for around four years and I love it. The only thing that bugs me is the littering, particularly the nonchalant way in which people toss a plastic bottle or wrapper when they are done with the contents. My own kids don't do it but my nephews and nieces do - although they are learning, primarily because if they are with us and they drop their crap, I don't chastise them but simply pick up what they've discarded and put it in a waste bag I carry specifically for the purpose. I find the littering all the more strange considering how houseproud most of the Filipinos I know are. They may hoard everything but at least it's clean.

It's upsetting to see, when I returned in mid 90's after having grown up in a very strict house raised by my grandmother. Seeing Filipino just breaking rules, big and small. I even had to remind my grandmother, her reply was it's 'ok we're in the Philippines'. I told her that is not an excuse, reminder her we wouldn't do it in Canada so we shouldn't do it. Had to remind our hired drivers that do not want breaking rules, as there is no hurry and payed for the day with meals! We are fun easy going nation but it seems the way we look at rules is if no one gets physically hurt then it's all good. I think that is why corruption is rampant as no one really gets hurt in the immediate transaction so it's ok!

The littering is one thing I just can't seem to get used to. But I do not talk about it or mention it around my filipino friends or family because I do not want to seem disrespectful about how it shows to me many people who live here are so willing to disrespect their own environment. When i have mentioned it what i would say is that if we tell ourselves that one little piece of trash won't make a difference, but of course it will if everyone thinks that way. I just did not raise my children in a way to think that even one little piece of paper out the car window or whatever was ok and when I see it around the coastline on the beaches and the more beautiful places within the islands it actually saddens my heart. Thanks again, Dennis Dayton

Here in Luzon, no one follows the rules to the point I'm not sure they really have any (joke) But seriously, people here seem to make up their own rules in their respective shops or barangay despite what the signs say and despite the law of the land. @gabeghiby6935
Жыл бұрын
that is a very good point in fact... if there are trash cans available and easily accessible, then I'd guess most people with basic common sense would use those... but, then again, someone needs to be paid to collect those trash cans and process it properly for disposal... that's an extra expense for the city treasury and... who knows where the money goes or what are the priorities for the city council... in the Philipino culture, my understanding is that you're supposed to accept what officials do, especially in senior top positions, and not complain about what needs improvement... if you complain, it's rude and disrespectful... yet, how to fix a problem, if no one is aware there is a problem because no one complains about it...
@mozillaproxima4941

Back in the days, many cities had trash "drums" and cans about. However, The Philippines has had it's fair share of insurgency, rebel groups and terrorists and as a security measure, had taken these out, especially following the Sarin Gas Attack by some crazed cult in the Tokyo Subway many years ago, where the gas was hidden in trash cans. So yes, you wouldn't find trash cans in many major cities throughout Japan either.
@gabeghiby6935
Жыл бұрын
@@mozillaproxima4941 yes I can see the reasons behind that due to the risks from terrorists... makes sense when you explain it as such I live in the states and as the entire world knows by now we also had some major attacks two landmarks buildings the Twin Towers where destroyed and many other less promoted events too happened, like bombs in the subway or train or buss stations or drinking water being contaminated or gas bombs setup in the air vents and air conditioning systems and other similar terrible things in hospitals or schools or stadiums at major sporting events and such... And people have died and great brave people are risking their own lives to prevent and stop such threats 24/7 non stop trying to protect the public and the innocent from such evil acts... But we still have trash cans and containers and dumpsters where people can dispose of their trash in a civilized manner... I'm sorry to be so blunt but terrorism threats are not a excuse not to have trash cans openly available in public places so normal civilized people can use them... But to conclude in a positive note it's good you protect the Philippines against terrorism and as a nation make sure you protect yourselves against communism too... don't ever let them take over your country...

Well, your car also needs to be roadworthy for driving on roads that aren't car-worthy. And I see signs that are often placed on the left side of the road, which (at least where I'm from) means they don't count. A stoplight on the left side of the road in Europe can be safely ignored unless accompanied by another one on the right side. In the Philippines, they apparently DO count, but a full stoplight on the right side can be ignored when turning right. Not much of traffic makes sense here, it's understandable that nobody really cares. Also, I can't get over the fact that almost every street has two lanes, one of which is apparently for parking and / or electric poles, and there is almost never a sidewalk. I'm not complaining though, it's great here. (except for getting ANY kind of documents, wtaf)
