I do like all the improvements so far. It’s a great add on for Simbrief and now that so many planes can interact with it, that is a plus as well.

So happy to see we'll have what myself and others suggested for years, absolutely amazing and even more so for those of us flying in VR. I hope they will also include ATIS information so you can easily find the information you need for your origin and destination. One more thing which would be really handy is also having access to text messages being sent.

I thought the same. It is still going to be an issue that Navigraph is subscription based whereas the MSFS feature is free. Quite how MSFS makes this work financially is interesting. Perhaps at some point MSFS will start making some features subscription based. Until that happens it is not going to be a level playing field
@WhiteHawk77

I’m sure Navigraph will still have the edge but they will still take a hit from the FS2024 flight planner, especially when it works outside of the sim. I saw several people immediately mention they will be dropping their subscription because of it.

@@WhiteHawk77 the problem is, as every flightsim vendor knows is that the market is all about MSFS. I personally use Xplane but the difference in user base and more importantly dollars is big and unlikely to change anytime soon. MSFS might have made the hobby more popular but it is in danger of killing off much of the vendor and developer community. And remember how Microsoft in the past have just suddenly exited the hobby when they no longer had a need for the product?

If only there were a way for them to make available a nav data set that would be a snapshot of the world as it existed prior to the decommissioning of all of those VOR's. The early 1970's would be great, although all the way to the late 1990's would do just as well....... The old 4 course ranges we can get via add-ons, but apparently not the deceased VOR's.

That's an interesting thought. I often wondered if, as the years go by, we might see some historic renderings of the world, or portions thereof, being modelled kind of like what Red Wing Simulations are trying to do but on a larger scale. I wouldn't expect it to be perfect but I can see it having an appeal to those who love history and aviation.

This stuff amazes me, thanks for your videos Mark I really appreciate them to give us all the latest information in flight sim and everything that goes along with, I have a question for you or your audience about the dof h3, I have a homemade static rig I use for flight and racing mostly flight, and have 4 transducers, 2 on seat and two on pedals, and the haptic seat pad hf8, I have got myself the dof h3, its not arrived yet, so do I transfer all this stuff over or does motion rig do the same thing, or is pad and transducers a different layer, or is it just overkill, Sorry this is not related thou your video, thanks again for all your help in videos

Surely you can allocate the money from somewhere else. It's a paid service after all, not a gift shop. Personally I found more use for Navigraph than Netflix (Insert whatever service that's applicable to you) and allocated the money from there. If you're really poor, have an oatmeal day a week, and there's your subscription. If you're really really poor, how can you afford to play MSFS in the first place? The cost of entry is not... inconsiderable (to really really poor people that is)

I’m sure they will take a hit as FS2024 is a surprisingly massive upgrade for a built in flight planner, but Navigraph going out of business? Nope, this will still have an edge and have features that won’t and they are also the only way to update and sync AIRAC data to the sim, aircraft and utilities available.
