Another fantastic pond on the way into someone's back yard. You go get it Chris! I am definitely looking forward to the arrival of Betty. I can't help but liking the old school, since I am old school. Back in the 60s and 70s, in my neck of SW Pennsylvania, house foundations were dug with Hi-Lifts, aka track loaders. Excavators hadn't come of age for that kind of work. Lots has changed in the last 50 years and it was exciting to see that 977 come to life! Thanks Chris, for giving her a good home and the proper care, the old girl deserves. LONG LIVE BETTY!

old Betty should get a cable winch onto the rear so it can recover itself if stuck also maybe you can put some excavator trackshoes onto its tracks , you should measure out the max trackshoe width it can fit and look for something close to that - maybe you can use trackpads from a excavator or a dozer - they are cheap - usually a scrapyard has a whole bunch of them
@DougT25427

I’m looking forward to seeing Betty push those brush piles as far as you want without opening the governor. That’s what 25 tons gets you. You’d have been happier if Betty had a 11 foot dozer blade but you take what you get buying used. I think the 220 can load a truck as quick as Betty’s loader. She has no EPA BS to stop her either. I bet you use her more than you think you will.
