My grandmother told me that they used to smoke home grown pot back in the late 1910 and early 1920s.She said that she was disappointed that it was virtually unknown at that time here in Canada ,Saskatchewan to be exact. She was quite good at finding my stashes and helping herself . Quite the little old lady.

I remember my grandmother dropping my cousins quarter bag stash in the thanks giving table, she said told him "don't bring that trash into her house". No one knew at the time why, but he went running from the room while we all laughed. This was in 96 and she was 83. My cousin admitted about 3 years ago that either that wasn't his stash, or something had happened to it, because he had just bought it that morning and it was 2oz. And yes, his 2 ounce bag was missing. It's tough to belive though, that woman was a straight as an arrow, no one admitted they ever saw her drink, and she was a Rn for 45 years. Total angle in all accounts. My cousin is much less so 😆 so he could be pulling my leg.

The original text in the Hebrew Bible for one of the ingredients was kaneh-bosem which was made for the Most Holy Anointing Oil and also the sweet incense that was burnt on the alter of incense in the Holy Temple of God. Sula Benet discovered that the Biblical plants or spices "kaneh" (Ez. 27:19; Is. 43:24; Ct. 4:14), "kaneh ha-tob" (Je. 6:20), and "kaneh-bosem" (Ex. 30:23), which are usually translated as "sweet calamus" or "sweet cane", were actually hemp. The Hebrew University in Jerusalem confirmed the translation. It makes sense to me with cannabis oil healing many ailments and putting cancers of all kinds into remission, not all cases but a good number that warrants further study to thinking people. Did you know you have millions of THC receptors in your body. If you are a creationist its gotta stir your thought process.

I feel like my use helps me in my growth with God as he heals my broken pieces, I FALL into worship and praise and I have no problem shouting the name of Jesus is my Lord I feel like dancing like David while in the privacy of my own home and alone and knowing that God doesn't care about my flesh the way I do and he sees the beauty in my dancing in His name sake! I dance because even in my trials I am free of all the chains he has broken in me. That started gradually but it really kicked up into hyper drive after getting my med card and I finally saw what I had been missing all these years in our Lord and Savior. The name denotes it was associated with Canaanites / Amorites. So the name cannabis could mean the Canaanites abyss which is mixture of Hebrew Canaanite. Or full Hebrew, subdued in the abyss. Or full Phoenician, fearless king. It is without doubt that as the plant was imported, it would have been sold to Canaanite traders by the scythians and distributed by the Canaanites around the middle East. By the way it is well known the Canaanites and the Amorites were one and the same and loved to party. They basically pre western Europeans, big blonde / gingers with blue eyes, getting baked, doing deals getting people together. A kind have sex parties and make profit not war ideology. They probably went a bit too far with sex parties if the bible is to be believed.

Cannabis IS mentioned by several names in the Bible. In Exodus 30:23-33 one may find the formula for the anointing oil. The ingredient listed there as "kaneh bosem" is a reference to cannabis. "Keneh" or "kaneh" is a transliteration of the Indo-European word "kana" or "cana" which means cannabis. This itself was derived from the Proto-Indo-European word "kanap", also primarily meaning "cannabis". The Hebrews used the word "kaneh" as a generic term similarly to how Canadians say "Kleenex" (the specific brand name used as a generic term) for "tissue" (whether it is that brand or not), or how the British say "Hoover" for "vacuum cleaner" (whether it is that brand or not). Because it was a generic term in the Hebrew use, the writer eliminated any confusion by adding "bosem" in a substantive position. "Bosem" means both "euphoriating" and "aromatic". A similar term from the same root, "hithbosem" means "inebriated". They specified to use the smelly head-spinning cannabis, "kaneh bosem" and that term traveled via the Scythians and Thracians into the Greek to become "kannabis" and then our word "cannabis". Carl A. P. Ruck (Boston U.), Chris Bennett, Sarah Benetowa (a.k.a. Sula Bennett - no relation to Chris Bennett), myself in 2010 (Cannabis Sacrament, Hamilton, ON: Freedom Publishing, based on my "expert" testimony in four different Canadian court cases concerning the religious use of cannabis), myself in 2019 ("Journal of Higher Criticism", Vol 13, No. 4), and other scholars have written on this for decades. Ezekiel spoke about trading with the East to obtain "pannag". Raphael Mechoulam of Hebrew University recognized this term as a transliteration of the East Indian "bhanga" ("p" and "b" sounds are often interchanged during transliteration from one language to another). Bhanga, or bhang, is an ancient cannabis-based powerfully euphoriating recreational drink. A sacred drink of a similar cannabis-based nature was known as "hoama" and was also known as "soma". Research by Greek-Russian archaeologist Victor Sarianidi on the Bactria-Margiana Archaeological Complex (BMAC) has unearthed the details of the broad spread of this cannabis-based beverage. In the case of the BMAC finds, there were two varieties of hoama/soma: one was 90% cannabis and 10% ephedra, and the other was 90% cannabis and 10% opium as far as entheogenic (psychoactive) ingredients were concerned. The "grass" that was a part of Nebuchadnezzar's alleged period of retreat has also been a suggested reference to cannabis consumption. www.feelguide.com/2018/09/23/experts-now-certain-the-key-ingredient-in-jesus-christs-anointing-oil-was-cannabis/?fbclid=IwAR3Fd9y5VY9yz3l-7qaC_THh_uB3UBceOFCEk_Un4z-3172-EHVhKYcpwnc

Not too surprising. The cannabis would have come from Marib in Saba, Saba in modern Yemen, which was well known for growing hemp for ‘rope making’. Wink, wink, nod, nod. Cannabis was ideal for international trade, as it was lightweight and of high value, and grew well in the lands irrigated by the Marib Dam. The more interesting thing is who were the Sabeans.? It seems likely that they were the Jews who fled Jerusalem with Prophet Jeremiah, during the Babylonian invasion. They first went to Yehudia in Egypt (the Mound of the Jews), and then to Marib in Saba. That is why Sabaean culture was so similar to Jewish culture, including the names of their gods and kings, and their perambulatory temples just like Mecca (which was reputedly built by Abraham). (The same as the Israelites circumperambulated around ‘mountains’ during the Exodus.) This why Islam has so many Judaic stories and texts, because it is clear from the Koran itself that Muhummad got the original Judaeo-Koranic texts from the Saneans. The Marib dam burst for the final time in the very early 7th century AD, and the Sabeans migrated to Arabia, where Muhummad assisted and then destroyed them all. RE

@@ChurchInAshes Then keep doing what you're doing, because obviously it has worked out so well. If you're upset with where we're at now with drugs...Take a hard look. We've been fighting against drugs with heavy incarceration rates and lots of funding and yet despite quite literally 90 years of a "war on drugs" which was stoked even more in the 70s by Nixon, I believe our drug epidemic is WORSE than it was before the war on drugs even happened. Despite 90 years in the middle of a war on drugs, we're still in the midst of an opioid epidemic, and drugs are as prevalent as ever, maybe even more so than before. So yes, do pray tell me how doing more of the same of just locking them up is working out so well. After 90 years of trying the same damn thing and failing miserably, i think it's about time to try a new approach. You're welcome to agree drugs are bad and need to be handled somehow. But clearly, the method we're handling it and have been handling it is just not working. The way is not to spend endless money targeting drug lords who, once locked up or killed, will just be replaced by another drug lord immediately after, it's an endless cycle. You can't fight the war on drugs head on like that, 90 years of trying that should show you we've failed on that side. Locking people up endlessly for using it also doesn't fix anything, it only ensures they continue using. What we need is to focus on education and rehabilitation. Feel free to throw other ideas out there, but you'll be hard pressed to convince anyone that the current method of lock up and throw away the key ain't workin', neither is targeting drug lords as individuals. You can't kill the demand by killing the supplier. This only further increases demand. Economics 101. To get rid of the drug problem, you have to kill the demand, not the supply. Focus on deterring people from using to begin with, and focus on the reasons why people are using and do what you can to prevent future generations from making the same mistakes, and focus on fixing the people who are currently using to assist them any way you can to get off. Our current rehab system is kind of a joke. It just replaces one problem with another, and real help is incredibly hard to find out there. We desperately need a rehab system overhaul as well as prison reform and drug law reforms. Addicts aren't criminals. They're sick and they need help.

Cannabis strain Blue Dream a sativa has been extremely effective reducing pain and extremely elevated blood pressure from 180/108 down to 120/74 after only a few minutes. This kind of relief has been experienced by many people who did suffer from back pain and high blood pressure which as you know what higher blood pressure can lead to a heart attack or stroke and the kidneys also get it from elevated blood pressure. It is estimated that 74 million Americans have died prematurely due to high blood pressure.

The Hebrews also used ayahuasca, which contains DMT, a very powerful psychoactive, or a form of it. Accacia is mentioned in several places in the Old Testament as temple offerings and even the Ark of the Covenant was made from this wood. Accacia is the tree that the bark comes from to make ayahuasca. Coincidence ?
@ponch0partout
4 жыл бұрын
To make an ayahuasca like substance, you need an MAOI (mono amine oxydase inhibitor) rich plant mixed with a DMT rich plant like acacia. On its own the worship of the acacia says little on preparing ayahuasca. But I think the ancient egyptians could probably have had ayahuasca since the land of Khem is full of syrian rue (which contains Maoi and is probably behind myths like the flying magic carpet, because the dye of the red middle eastern carpets is traditionally made with syrian rue). In egyptian peganum harmala (syrian rue) is called besasa (plant of Bes). And Bes is an ancient egyptian deity, a deity of good.

Neptunes Lagoon thanks for providing this information, I knew it was in the bible but the spelling requires people think it through. It bothered me that it might be left unsolved. But you solved it thank you. Also it is an essential nutrient for our bodies nervous system, we humans have important receptors everywhere. Deficiency hinders pain regulatiion very much. So I'm not buying the get high thing. Pain relief, oh and bone density plus more I'm sure. God is not an idol that needs get high rituals to use as a substitute for the Holy Spirit, but God is our family and yes God is our healer of mind, body and soul. God is the key source of sobriety for many people. Honestly God is so wonderful that just being with God is bliss. I think God's people needed sobriety coming out of Egypt and through the wilderness experience and today.

All such substances have both positive and negative properties. When used in a properly regulated way they can assist in healing, and when under the spiritual guidance of elders they may help individuals find insights of potentially great meaning, but turned into a commercial product - like alcohol in Western society - they can and do wreak untold havoc.
