In Jan 1987 I traveled from Norfolk Va. to Alameda Ca. in my RV on gov't orders, during my trip across country burglar attempts where tried on my 3 time, twice in Texas and once in California, now I was a trained military man, and always gave a warning before using any of my 3 guns which where a Ruger 22, Ruger 357, and a Mr. Ruger 44 mag. The first man who came up carrying a 38 knocked at my door, I opened it, and he said give my your money I said let me get my wallet out of my back pocket, reached in my back where the ruger 44 was fell down on my knees and swung the gun around saying my gun is bigger then your gun, and he ran like hell. a few miles like 50 in Texas by a rest area in an oil pump area, I noticed a truck following me, I made some odd turns then I saw the rest area and pulled into it turned out my lights and layed down, the 2 guys came up to my door and knocked at the door, I opened the door and pointing the ruger 44 at them said can I help you once again they ran like hell, both times I called the police.then continued on to California, got into California and decided to wash my uniforms to have a clean uniform for reporting in the next morning went into the wash room to look at my drying uniforms and noticed a person sticking his head in my dryer pulling out my uniforms and taking the newer ones and putting them in his bag. so he stuck his head in the dryer and I kicked him in the butt so hard that his head hit the back of the dryer, and told him in a nice way to put my uniforms back in the dryer. he did, the next morning I woke up got my uniform to go to work, I stepped out of my RV, and there where between 30 to 40 illegal immigrants (I was told later by the police they worked at the farms) but they had all kinds of tools knives and pitch forks and began running towards me, I reached in my drawer and grabbed my 44 mag and my 357 (both always loaded) stepped back out of my RV fired one, u understand one shot into the ground at the bottom of a fence pole with my 44 and the fence pole flew, and so did the illegal immigrants but not towards me, Well I guess the park called the CHP and they rolled in and the officer was nice but he said he had to take my guns, I told him I just paid $2400 dollars 1200 for monthly rent and 1200 deposit, and had to stay here, and I asked him if he was going to patrol the area, his answer was no he could only come back to investigate a crime. so i said no you can't have my guns, they attacked me once and all I did was fire a warning shot. He said that is against the law.I said but according to the 2nd amendment I can have weapons for protection which I used as such, plus I was protecting Government property, So then I stepped back in my RV and called into the duty office and told them I am about to take down a CHiP officer for trying to take my guns, My Co knew me and my training and said before you do that just please give him the guns and we will send you and legal down to get them later. Now I turned around and he had his weapon pulled , and I told him take a good look around mister and ask your self is it a nice day to die, if you don't think so well just remember it is against the law to fire a gun here. So now if a weapon is used correctly I fired one shot in 3 attempts to rob me. and was a trained military person. They still got my guns , I lost 2400 bucks for one day at that RV park and $3000 for the guns that I had bought in San Diego in 1970 era. and had them destroyed in Crooked Commie California in Jan of 87. because they gave me no notice that all guns would be destroyed in 3 hours after a crime was committed, My Co told me I should of let you take him down.

Like it or not, America basically started because of gun control. Taxation was certainly an issue but it wasn’t until the red coats tried to disarm the colonist at Concord and Lexington and the colonist had enough and basically declared war on England with “The shot heard around the world”. The right to free speech may be the first Amendment, but the right of the People to keep and bear arms was the first actual right acknowledged and defended. And rights have no meaning unless one is willing and able to defend them. It's bureaucratic "red tape" and totally unnecessary, at the hoops that our government and LEO make US citizens jump through in order to obtain a concealed carry permit (CCP). Although I am a retired US Marine, who has documentation that I held and qualified each year as an expect (very difficult to achieve), for both military rifle and pistol systems, I still had to play the state's games in order to obtain a CCP. Because of an inexperienced LEO rookie mistake or because of simple incompetency, I had to wait over six months to get a permit in the state of NC. I had to return to the local county Sheriff's Office, three separate times because the fingerprints that the deputies took from me were either smudged or inconclusive. Finally, after the third time, and because of a more experienced deputy (the Assistant Sheriff) taking my fingerprints, I was able to pass the NC State Bureau (SBI) of Investigations verification process. First of all, why did I have to prove to a local state LEO agency, that I was in fact the person who I claimed to be, when I was in possession of two very important federal documents, a valid military ID Card and DD-214? And secondly, but most importantly, why wasn't I given an exemption from having to take a pistol range safety course (an addition charge, plus the permit charge) when I already had verifiable federal government proof that I was in fact a retired US Marine, with years of experience in handling weapon systems? To compound the matter and make things even worse! At that time, when I was trying to obtain a CCP, from a local Sheriff's Office, I was a certified NC State Adult Probation/Parole Officer, with several years of service, training, and experience. Just like LEO, in order for NC Probation/Parole Officers to carry a departmental issued firearm, they had to attend and successfully pass a month and a half long, state approved Intensive Probation/Parole Officer course/school, at the NC Justice Academy, located in Salemburg, NC. Not trying to toot my own horn or trying to sound egotistical, but because of my 23 years of training within the the US Marine Corps, and because I always qualified expert year after year with any weapon system that I was given, only two students were able to qualify expert that miserable day/night. The two experts that night, was a former US Army soldier, and myself. The day/night that we were scheduled to qualify, was the same day/night that the entire state of NC experienced a freak ice/hail storm. During the pistol qualification process that day/night, not only were temperatures below freezing, but it was also raining with periodic ice and hail storms. Many of the younger and less experienced students couldn't handle the severe weather that day/night and gave up, thereby not being able to successfully qualify. A very large portion of my class, had to return back to the pistol range the next day to attempt another chance at qualifying. The timely and expensive processes that each state government makes its citizens undergo (especially veterans), in order to obtain a CCP (in my opinion, is unconstitutional) is absolutely wrong and uncalled for. I totally understand the need for gun safety/training and checks and balances, but to deny a US Military Veteran a CCP or the right to carry without a CCP, who has years of training and experience with various weapon systems, is unconstitutional.

If people see you that have a gun, they more than likely, will leave you alone. Showing someone, you are armed is not a threat it's just a warning, a self-defensive act not criminal or felonious. 🤠 Not everyone who owns or carry's a gun is a criminal, it's prejudice to even think so. We're all in the same boat Afterall. We're not all crazy or out to shoot someone.

If Americans truly want to end this B.S., then will someone please file lawsuit to challenge/end the use of government I.D. to purchase constitutional livery. That action would eliminate/terminate the states 'police power' to regulate. Me, I have standing, but presently lack a conflict. This seems a no brainer...according to Bruen, what historical analog ever required the presentation of government I.D. to purchase or keep arms??!!??

Constitutional carry is the only form of gun regulation needed. Gun control is using both hands. We don't have a gun problem we have a how children are being raised problem. We used to go hunting before school and leave our guns in our vehicles during school. 0 incidents, children being raised by the internet and stronger gun laws have brought more frequent negative incidents. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
