I just bought a dcx 131..which is the same machine...how can I pull that thing home with a truck? Do I have to fab a hitch to use the one that goes on the tractor drawbar?
@AlbertaRanch

Dealer here had the special hitch to tow them. They rented it to me.

Everything is priced nuts, did you buy at an auction? Wonder if someone stole it? Maybe try the wreckers.

I moved up from a New Holland 499 to the 1431 and it is awesome........ I havent felt this good since I traded my 7 foot sickle bar for the New Holland 499.

Per foot of discbine I assume. Not with a 4 cylinder. It's ok, but the 32c temps this year and pulling hills were a bit much.

Once you go Disc, you wonder why you waited so long!!! Never looked back after the first discbine we bought in the late '80s early '90s.. 165 hp would be much better!! You just have to go a little slower... Still faster than a sickle machine!!

You will never look back! Good call my friend. That mowers a beast! Your gonna have way less tractor time cutting hay now! Only downside is the extra needed HP.

Should give your local dealer a shout maybe they can tune it and give ya some extra horses if your off warranty lol I know pentagon would here in Westlock but that was a 4700 series

It handled the second cut on that field fine. The hills are steep and the first cut was crazy heavy. Still would like a 6 cylinder though:)

Looking at picking one of these up. Think an old Ford 8600 with a 6.6L diesel would handle it? My alfalfa gets pretty heavy sometimes.
@AlbertaRanch

Oh I would think so, as long as it's still putting out the rated hp. Hills are tough, you might not set any speed records with it.

When you change or flip knives.. The nut slips up into the disc, it's got two flats that have to line up.. that part of the nut is not tall enough for easy alignment. Just gotta be careful or you can have issues!!
