A breast cancer cure could be near thanks to the drug Denosumab. Originally used for Postmenopausal Osteoporosis, Denosumab could become a preventative treatment for women with a mutation in the BRCA1 gene. At the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia, scientists found that Denosumab can stop growth of the cells that rise to breast tumors. After a successful trial on mice, clinical trials on humans are the next step. We look at Denosumab and its potential to cure breast cancer on the Lip News with Jo Ankier, Elliot Hill and Mark Sovel.
