I like the stal-bokoblin = Ingo idea However, in majoras mask, there are the two lookalikes on that ranch in Termina You can race them and they are actual villains, trying to interfere with milk deliveries at night... Could be two references in one If it's only one, it's an Ingo reference , if it's two, they are referring to the Termina lookalikes (I'm really bad at remembering names)

I look at Lon Lon as a chain of ranches best known for their famous milk. Like Mcdonalds. Each ranch is designed to look the same so travelers can have a sense of familiarity when they visit. The same thing can be seen with the botw horse stables looking nearly identical in basic design. So the ranch in botw is not the exact same ranch in my opinion.

So is it possible that the koroks themselves are the spirits themselves of the children that died? Once a child dies and its soul can't cross the river it gets taken by the great Deku Tree where it becomes a korok. (since they are kids right) The Deku tree then takes care of it and protects it.

A bit of a thought on the statues and how they relate to Koroks: It could be that the intention wasn't to relate them to children who died during the Calamity, but it could be a way to honor to Koroks - who are the descendants of the Kokiri, who were a race of perpetual children. This could be why Koroks hang around the statues all of the time, because the statues were placed there in their honor or memory.

If there are two Stalkoblins, maybe it's the Gorman Brothers who raced Link in Majora's Mask? They were the ones who had the Garo mask. And since the Garo are within Ikana, the Kingdom of the *Dead*, it would make more sense for it to be them than Ingo who was just a normal ranch hand as maybe the Gorman bros may have been either descendants of the Garo since they both wear the mask when going after Cremia's milk wagon, and are the only other characters to wear this particular mask other than the garo themselves, or maybe they knew of some of the Garo's secrets and used them to keep their spirits around. *Shrugs* Probably not the best theory, but it was just something that came to me.

#TheoryThoughts T1 - Kokiri and Koroks have always seemed associated with "the lost children," especially back in OoT. The fact that many of these statues have Koroks attached could imply they still are in BotW? Maybe it is something of the spirit granted by Farore returning to (wait for it) their ROOTS? T3 - Could the second stahl-rider be referencing the brothers from MM? Or maybe it is spirit of Ingo still stuck and unable to move on, forever trying to beat the hero in that race - so there must be a second rider for him to lose to every night.

To further back rhe evidence about the childrens graves, Kokiri and Skull Kis are were both part of the hylian race but they turned into spirits of tbe forest once thy got lost in the Lost Woods. I swear half of the Zelda theories since BotW came out make absolutely 0% sense and the other half are not really theories since the games themselves or other official material or statements flat out confirmed their "theory" long before the video is out. Hey! I got a new theory! WHAT IF, Link in Ocarina of Time is not actually a Kokiri?! But a Goron! Ok, I know this sounds crazy but just hear me out, you'll see it all makes sense. We never see Link's parents in OoT. All we know is that his father died in the war and his mother fled to the woods, leaving Link in the care of the Great Deku Tree. We never see what they look like though! I can already hear you saying "But OliRock92! Link looks NOTHING like a Goron!" And you'd be right. What if I told you that the Great Deku Tree changed Link's shape so he'd fit in more with the Kokiris! He is their guardian and is said to be powerful after all. But that's only the begining of it. I have more solid proof that will shatter everything you thought you knew about OoT! Link is given the Goron's Ruby! The Goron's most precious treasure, after saving them from death by hunger. Ok, he does get the Kokiri's Emerald and Zora's Sapphire as well but that's BESIDES the POINT! He is given the Goron's Ruby! And by the Goron chieftain no less, who calls him nothing else than "Brother". Brother. According the my dictionary, that means they have a blood, pardon the pun, link. Coincidence? Obviously not. Daruk smells in Link the blood of his people, although is appearance was changed. Ok! Let's skip 7 years in the future! Now Darunia has a son he's named...Link! What if I told you that Darunia named his son so not in honor of the Hero of Time but in honor of his long lost son! They say the Hero's father died in the war but it is known that historical events can be wrong sometimes. Indeed, everything we found out so far points out to his father not being DEAD but having returned to DEATH Mountain. Call it a telephone game if you want but that's what mouth to ear does. Not only is Link a Goron but his father is Darunia. Darunia calls Link "brother", unable to recognise the face of his long lost son. Still mourning him, he named his second son, also, Link. You see?! IT ALL COMES TOGETHER!!! IT ALL MAKES SENSE!!! The Hero of Time is a Goron and his father is Darunia. If you read all of this, thank you immensely!

If one is a reference to Ingo, could two be a reference to the Gorman Brothers from Majora’s Mask? After all, they did reuse Ingo’s Ocarina of Time sprite for both of the Gorman brothers in Majora’s Mask. Also the stalkoblins carry bows, and I seem to remember the Gorman brothers were shooting Cremia’s milk delivery with arrows(though I may be confused on that point, it’s been quite some time since I played).

The Koroks from the apple puzzles could also possibly one of the dead children, except that’s a bit far-fetched

Since the sequel is based in the same world, it would be nice if some of the same NPC characters are in it too. Like a slightly older Koko and Cottla and if maybe in that game, there was a side quest about their mother. I've seen people speculate that the green hand that Link absorbs is made of spirit energy so it would be cool if he had to use it to either reunite them with their mother or pass on a message.

So adding on to the first theory: what if in a way it’s like the divine beasts, the children’s spirits are trapped and link giving them an apple is almost freeing them and they become koroks, koroks the children of the forest. Idk but I thought it sounded kinda cool lol

I think its fitting that the koroks, the tree spirits or children of the forest, would hide within the statues built to honor lost children. Placing an offering allows the spirit to come forth and kind of say thank you. I am glad you covered that one because I would have never known their reference.

Now thinking about the statues theory, it make me sad and also, more curious about the ones from "The Cursed Statue". Sad for the statues themselves, but curious about the one with the purple eyes.😬

Ocarina of Time is hundreds of thousands of years before the Calamity that took place 10,000 years before BOTW. It's not the same ranch, it's a reference.

What if the Koroks are actually reincarnated children who die? The great deku tree is said to be the protector of children, so what if he is reincarnating children who died terrible deaths and a young age. Specifically during the civil war, the flood and the calamity. I mean the kokiri turn into skeletons if they leave the deku tree's protection. This would mean those shrine puzzles are actually dead children thanking you for paying your respects to their shrines.
