I love how the other dogs are enjoying being involved last training Joey sat with her until Luke said free. This time Tilly went in room and stood in doorway with her until Luke said free. Sam does her own kind of training, with those that really do need it. She has a mothers intuition and heart. I honestly do not think that both Faith and Hope would have opened up. Or for Hope to be where she is, without her first trusting Sam. All the other pooches, The staffy sisters, Miss Red one day when Sam and Luke took all the doggo's to the beach. Sam was standing beside the bus getting ready to leave the farm. The dogs were all pouring in. I think miss Red went into the bus and quickly came back out and I think Miss Violet as well to sit near and wait for Sam. Shadow, the former Tassie Devil, after Luke took off all her sharp edges. Shadow is the most lovable little thing now. All the dogs, the ones that have come from terrible existences and the ones that have conditions, I love to see them going to Sam, waiting for Sam, even Rosco boy protecting Sam sitting right on her feet or by putting himself between her and what ever else is getting on his Nerves. ha ha. Maggie, Tank, Chop chop, Barney boy, even Chancey boy. Remember when Chance would run back and forth between Luke and Sam when he was starting to get things right. Any way credit, when credits Due.

@Carnivore Amy I had a Shiba Inu...an abused rescue. Probably the most difficult dog I have ever owned. In all the 14 years I owned her, she never trusted people and no one she didn't know could touch her. She was a challenge. She was amazingly cat like, always clean, fastidious about herself, aloof, she liked affection but only on her terms. All the other dogs were wary of her, she would bite them if they overstepped her boundaries. I absolutely adored her and was devastated when she passed away at the age of 16. But I would not own another Shiba. Not anywhere near as challenging as a Malinois, but still, not for an inexperienced dog owner

Abra is an astounding dog, and it's so exciting to watch her grow. However, for me, Sam and Luke's greatest achievements will always be their preparedness to save the lives of dogs that nobody wants. It took almost a year of love, patience, and training to give Shadow, Rosco, YoYo, Hope, Faith, Freddo, Neveah, Molly, Luna, and Chance happiness. The Farm loves semi-blind, deaf, incontinent, neurologically impaired dogs without question. Nobody wanted Chop and Tank, but they now live the best lives. Joey, a failed sheep dog, escaped euthanasia and came to the Farm. Lily lives an amazing life even though her future is not certain. Miss Violet's ginormous achievements are because of Sam and Luke, elsewhere she would be euthanised.

BTW, Labradors, Collies, and GSH are also part of the team. They travel in their own seats on the plane next to their handler! We had a Malinois/German Shepherd mix that we took on at the age of 4 years from our daughter's friend . We loved him like crazy but he was a handful. So protective of me (using a cane). My husband was doing Agility with him; which he loved. However, if I was watching, as soon as he was off lead he would jump over fencing and charge 120 feet across the area to stand in front of me - between me and the strangers around. It got to the point that I couldn't go to watch, because the dog was focused on me and not what was going on with Agility. He died at 9 years after several cancer surgeries. We miss him.

I developed so much respect for the Belgian Malinois learning about their military and police work. I know full well I could never own or train one as they really are unsuitable to be anything other than serious working dogs. So I never thought I would get to watch one be trained. Imagine my joy at realising Luke was taking on Abra. I knew they were bright and responsive and love to work...but watching her focus on Luke as a PUPPY is just amazing. The biggest thing I noticed in the first video or two was just how much effort you were putting into her, and that is the best thing about watching Luke train her: I'm watching a master at work using all his skills. I am so glad that Luke is enjoying training her. I feel like her of all people has earnt the right to train a dog like this, and to enjoy it. Yesterday's film where Cutie Pie is showing how it's done in the pool so proud of herself!!! Then the quick move of Tilly showing how it's done coming out the door in the beginning. How adorable!!!!! All your dogs are so smart and their personalities are so worth the time to watch all your You Tubes.

Watching Abra and Luke, she is a little sponge for training with him. The dock diving/lure is fun to watch. Chance is looking at Abra like, "Uncle Luke why does she get to ride your shoulder and I don't, UH?" "Look Uncle Luke I fits right under Roscoe, for now." Hope is experiencing new things and I see the joy and happiness all over her face and she does the wiggle.

This is going to be an amazing adventure for all the Evans, 2 and 4 legged alike. She is absolutely amazing; diving after Luke 2 days in. 😳 That focus and intensity on learning is staggering. It’s like when Joey came but on hyperspeed. The long leans onto Luke’s back and eating the splashes “a la Jeddo” was hilarious. The Pie must show this new upstart who’s boss. 😂 I’m in love with Abra’s ears. The other doggies are such good boys and girls about this new stranger taking up some of Dad’s attention. They say “keep the Maligator’s teeth AWAY please and thank you!” I have watched you teach what feels like hundreds of doggies to swim and I am just in shock at how fast she’s taken to it and DOCK DIVING?!

Thank you Luke for making it clear “ not to get this breed “ what they need is a phenomenal lot of work for a highly intelligent breed .Whilst they are magnificent to watch, their energy is and needs are ongoing. We really appreciate your explanation on breeds. Lots of learning, lots of laughs … THANK YOU . Tilly missed out on a good girl out of that room with Abra 😂😂. She was so gorgeous. 🧡 Cayooootie Pie’s tooshie in the water … can’t deal with the cuteness. Good to hear you both laughing as we were cracking up too . Great vid

Pink is definitely Hope’s color. She looks beautiful with her pink bandana. I am so overjoyed that she comes in for pars and hugs now. It’s been amazing to watch her transformation. I’m waiting for her to get in the pool herself she’s getting close.

The excitement Luke has for this dog, almost jumps through my mac screen. And i can understand why. I love Mals, my favourite breed of all time, i have grown up and worked with working dogs all my life. But i would never own a Mal, i know my limits and i would hate to fail any dog. The bonding that is already happening between Luke and Abra, is going to make it very hard to give her up for adoption. I mean, she's absolutely adorable, i've fallen for her already too. The whole farm family is just amazing.

When you explained how it could all go so wrong, so quickly, it's really good that the adopters brought her back at 4 months. So interesting to listen to, thank you.

Luke’s quiet demeanour on his first meeting with Abra and his even quieter body language the second time, I just knew he knew that the sky is not limit with this breed and was super keen to get on with her training. This video confirms it all for me. They are both (Abra & Luke), relishing this relationship that will undoubtedly soar to great heights. Luke will challenge Abra, but equally Abra will challenge Luke, in a good way. Whether Abra stays at the Farm or moves on to further her career, who can say, but I’m so looking forward to each day more than anything. 🐾🐾👏👏👏🌟🌟🥰😘😁🤩

I LOVE that Luke has a challenge he’s excited about instead of being slightly apprehensive, I look at diesel as a dog like navaeh starved of direction and guidance trying to find it for themselves, then they settle when they realise they have the big Dawg on their side for help. 🐾 #rufflife #staypawsitive ❤

Hopefully everyone now realises the farm has some new channels featuring all our favourite dogs to subscribe to (subscribing costs nothing it's free) if anyone should wish to ❤️. Also Dee's shelter... Central Coast Animal Care Facility is new to KZitem and likely would benefit from new subscribers. Thank you fellow animal lovers ❤️

What a stunning introduction to this breed! The intensity of Abra’s attachment to Luke, along with her obvious intelligence, and her eagerness to learn is amazing. She and Joey, and to an extent, Diesel, have demonstrated how different working breeds can be. I have to admit I caught myself cheering Abra on out loud when she was struggling with her first platform jump just before she dove in nose first.😂

I am so Happy that Luke got his dream dog, I rescued one years ago who had been left abandoned in a trailer & they did not want to call the dog shelter because they knew she would be put down, no rescue stepped up so they contacted me & I was a greyhound rescue but dealt with human aggressive, dog aggressive along with terrified dogs so I could not turn my back. She was a challenge but understood who the top dog was, we had no issues but she did not socialize with my greyhounds & they wanted nothing to do with her. I found someone who knew about the breed & she lived out her life with her family & they said she was the BEST dog they ever had but I could not have let her go with just anyone
