This music video is so deep the masked ppl symbolizing human beings all doing the same things (playing it safe/going along to get along.) to keep from doing what they want to do because if you see someone walking and talking the way they want to it’s sign of someone who loves themselves. So the masked ppl bully ppl like Brent because they are projecting their own insecurities onto him by mistreating him and others who think alike… as in others I mean those who love themselves 😁❤️

Definitely a suicide prevention song, not the type to open about my mental health but if this help anyone else I'm down for it, Brent please keep dropping soulful music this shit keeps me from being completely weak and sympathizing towards myself when I'm down and out, I'm 25 with not much motion at all just trying to figure out what it is that I want to be or what to do period,my kids should be my motivation but I tend to fall deep into this dumb thing I call sadness and just be wanting to get rid of myself cause I'm not as productive as I should be but hey I'm getting better with this everyday, to anybody that needs this to keep pushing and remember even if you don't have kids you have somebody to live for even if it seems like every corner u take it's always somebody there to tear you down not knowing you're already hard on yourself please don't mind them and keep pushing to be a better you

Like they 1: aren’t allowed to enjoy their success at all (that most worked so hard for years to achieve) and 2: don’t need to live a little to get the inspiration for a project in the 1st place. No kind of Patience, the False Entitlement is too real smh.

Brent faiyez is talking about being a chosen one. Chosen ones are often mistreated and judged, thus they may feel isolated or misunderstood.Toward the end scene he finally shares his desire to show his power of how he can let go of his demons when opening up to society and showing he is just like them: that he sees them. Taking his destined role to be a leader (In Brent’s case being one of the most top r&b artists today). He is not entitled as they once thought when their demons were attacking him . They sensed his vulnerability disguised as uncaring of feeling bad for not fitting in. In Christianity Jesus was once crucified, but is now loved by billions of people because he sacrificed himself for our sins; he saved us. Brent as a chosen one instead of feeling alone with his talents, he chooses to influence the world. Allowing others to know that they are seen and should not be afraid to lesson their ego and be closer to their true soul of love and light. Their once admiration disguised as jealousy was secretly pushing him to be his highest self. They now have no choice but to respect his untouchable access through his admiration from many for finally knowing, loving, and accepting himself. The ability that he loves himself so much he can be not just raw with himself, but for the world. Such an undeniable and unattainable trait that most want, but demons were not letting them achieve through conformity and projection. Opening up to society as his higher self thus bringing others closer to their highest self:). Loving himself enough to be brave and share his authenticity with others through his talents can influence others to love themselves more to be more authentic with the world too; making society a little more kinder.

(Let me know) This for them niggas like me How in the Hell could I possibly love someone else? Who can I love When they tell me I can't love myself? (Let me know) It don't matter what they say 'bout you How in the Hell could I possibly love someone else? (Let me know) Who can I love When they tell me I can't love myself? (Let me know) This for them niggas like me How in the Hell, could I possibly love someone else? Some things we can't explain Why do we act this way? Why don't we make it easier For the world to change someday? Sometimes I contemplate Some things my heart can't take Why do we hurt one another? Fight our brother, kill and rape? Love can trump it all I know you seen it all (yeah) I know you a star You just have to believe in who you are Who can you love? Who can I love When they tell me I can't love myself? (Let me know) This for them niggas like me How in the Hell could I possibly love someone else? Who can I love When they tell me I can't love myself? (Let me know) It don't matter what they say 'bout you How in the Hell could I possibly love someone else? (Let me know) Who can I love When they tell me I can't love myself? (Let me know) This for them niggas like me How in the Hell, could I possibly love someone else? And with livin' comes with ills Don't let 'em make you feel like the world can't heal It's hard out here Despite your fears, keep holdin' on With all those tears, you can't hold 'em on And how? 'Cause somebody else know you If you don't know you, you're searchin' But what's missin' is your heart Who can I love? Who can I love When they tell me I can't love myself? (Let me know) This for them niggas like me How in the Hell could I possibly love someone else? (Let me know) Who can I love When they tell me I can't love myself? (Let me know) It don't matter what they say 'bout you How in the Hell could I possibly love someone else? Who can I love When they tell me I can't love myself? To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Brent Faiyaz. The melody is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of modern techniques most of the songs will go over a typical listener's head. There's also Brent's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these songs, to realise that they're not just vibin' - they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Brent Faiyaz truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Brent Faiyaz's genius unfolds itself on their smartphone screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
