I just finished listening 🎧 to your conversation with upstream podcast and I loved it, i feel I learned so much from it, very pleasant as I can see you had more time to speak about this topic, this other talk felt like you were rushed. Thank you for your time and effort to educate the public

So what's the connection between digital "money" and the FACT that certain people are completely excluded from the "workplace" to begin with? Are we less aware of that stuff? Are we less aware of the pain imposed upon the excluded because we push one little button and our paycheck is OURS, did we have to DO anything to earn it??? What would the excluded say about this "new convenience in living"?

Never trust a profit-making vehicle with your freedom and liberty. It will never end well, at least, not for you.

Some of us would appreciate it way more if some others altered that remark and instead said no one should be allowed to get EXCLUDED from the chance to survive re: the capitalist "workplace", regardless of how SHITTY the "work". NO CHOICE = NO LIFE

A cashless society is a hacker's dreambecause they could hack your card and take all your points that is now considered money and ruin your life and if he'd go to a card you can't go out and do a couple of jobs and make some extra cash to make ends meet

Very fascinating talk. He had a lot of solid points, however I find that he's got a classic case of the "corporate blues". He doesn't seem to be the biggest fan of corporations and it's unfortunate that so many people today view them as these evil entities that are controlling you. When you get down to the economics of it, the individuals all together control the market. Just because a company makes something and puts it out in the market does not mean people "have" to buy/use it. It is a personal decision made at the individual level, and what most individuals decide to do is how the market will respond. If these corporations put out all these cards and no one used them...no one would be using them. They might make it more inconvenient but at the end of the day you can decide to use cash wherever it's accepted, whether or not that's a limited number of places. So really the problem is not companies doing things for people, the problem is that people want convenience over anything else and are usually not very educated on the nuances of their choices. We should be teaching people to be more self aware and to make more intentional choices rather than expedient ones. The corporations only do whatever they want because the majority of society allows them to do it. Taking a stand against something will be difficult and cause friction in your life. People just don't have solid principles that they live by, they have soft ones that they'd like to see in the world but are not willing to take the actions required to see them come to fruition. Don't hate the player, or the game. Just learn the rules the way they are written, and play to your own advantage.

Marcus Swanson that’s right because they’ve endorsed these initiatives its the consumer in the end, that has brought light to this issue. But because it’s mainstream, does not make it legitimate.

Marcus Swanson I think that’s the idea here he trying to educate people on nuances of going to a cashless society. I know you say he has the “corporate blues”, but we know these corporations have a very pushy way of pushing an agenda forward. That’s why they spend so much in marketing a convincing they are not going to give you the cons. These people are so good they can get people to confess to crimes they didn’t even commit. So the voices of the cons of this system has to be so strong to help wake a person up. So what are you doing to help wake people up????????

if you go to a cashless society you will fall victim to being cut off unable to buy food I'll do to a hacker and you could even find yourself homeless in the street do to a hacker so think about thatplus if you don't have cash you can't go out and get extra money to make ends meet
