In this video, I used the Voss Kveik Strain to make a delicious NEIPA in 5 days with Sabro, Citra and Galaxy hops. This fast-fermented New England IPA was super hazy, juicy and just as good as one made with regular ale yeast. See below for the complete recipe. I did one huge 5 oz dry whirlpool and one massive 7 oz dry hop and the resulting beer had some serious tropical flavor and aroma of orange, tangerine, honeydew melon, coconut and mint. This tuned out to be a really interesting and pleasant combo. In this video I also show you how to top-crop kveik (really any yeast) to harvest and reuse it later. I also used my new Fermzilla for this fermentation and it turned out to be a very useful piece of equipment!

6.8% ABV 57 IBU
12 lb Pilsner (77.4%)
1.5 lb Flaked Wheat (9.7%)
1.5 lb Flaked Oats (9.7%)
0.5 lb Carapils (3.2%)
Mash at 150 F (65 C) for 60 min
Water (ppm): Ca: 119, Mg: 11, Na: 65, SO4: 113, Cl: 227, HCO3: 36
60 minute boil with no hops added
20 minute whirlpool at 180F (82 C) with 2 oz (56 g) Citra (12.7% AA), 2 oz Sabro (14.5% AA), 1 oz (28g) Galaxy (15.7% AA)
3 day dry hop at Day 1 of fermentation with 2 oz Citra, 2 oz Sabro, 3 oz (84 g) Galaxy
OG: 1.061
1 packet of Voss Kveik pitched dry at 100 F (38 C)
Ferment at 75-100 F (24-38 C) for 3-7 days
FG: 1.010
