@@VVheeli I used to have a 60 card Sultai Maralen deck that forced you to search (theres a few search cards that don't have the 'may' clause) i'd get Ob Nixilis Unshackled into play, then force people to search for a land, Ob would trigger, then when Maralen's ability occurred i'd go and get a counterspell to stop whatever they tutored for 😁. The deck was janky as hell but the looks on their faces when they realised they couldn't just decline to search, that they were going to lose 3 from Maralen, 10 from Ob, lose their blocker and die to Ob in combat was priceless. Seeing as the deck ran Collective Voyage I also included a Mind Grind. Oh what's that? Everyone just went and got 10 lands? Cool. Mind Grind for 15 lands. Better hope you have enough left hun! 😈🤷♀️😆

I’m a relatively new player, so I’m sure I’m missing something, but during Brandon’s upkeep @12:03 or so, Andrew plays Consultation and Brandon counters it with FoW. This triggers Sam’s Rhystic and he draws from this. During Brandon’s first Main Phase, he casts a Time Spiral and Sam draws from Rhystic again, hits a Force of Will, and counters the Spiral. If I’m not missing anything, shouldn’t Narset’s ability have prevented the second Rhystic draw this turn, thus preventing Sam from drawing the Force of Will and playing it?
@jacobclements3652

Why do people always cast mana crypt on a turn when they don't use it? Especially when there's no threat of discard. 3 damage isn't much, but why even risk it?
@PlayingWithPowerMTG

Because there is always a threat of discard in CEDH. At any time, someone can put 3 mana together and cast timetwister/Windfall/Wheel of Fortune. Then you've lost your mana crypt.
