Typical youtube response; if you don't have anything of substance to say, simply undermine your detractors by insulting them or saying they don't know what they are talking about. Truthbetold, I play football in high school as well as a small NAIA school in college. Sure I didn't play NCAA ball, but I know football very well. I believe your loyalty to the Sooner nation blinds your ability to see the truth. Bosworth was cool character in college, but he was a lot similar to the old Big 10 linebackers Pat Fitzgerald and Andy Katzenmoyer. Great athletes, but marginal football players, Andy being better than the other two. Watch this video again and you will see how UNSOUND of a football player Bos was. Which is precisely why he was not successful as a pro. When you respond to me, respond with substance.

Boz & Casillas were magic! Shake and Bake! These D’s were SO fast. Miss OU having actual D. Needed him for Miami though :/

He should have been the first defensive player to win the Heisman.

Have never seen a backer with rhat good of timing. He is in the backfielld at .03 sec after the snap. And does that consistantly.

I agree.. possibly the best linebacker in NCAA History.. I recently watched Bo vs Boz. Bo was running straight on while Brian was at an angle of attack. Run Over?.. .. Not a Chance. - That video is way OverRated-

I've lived in Norman all My Life and have not seen another Bosworth caliber linebacker since His Years at OU. Man was he fun to watch. So cool that Brian came out of Dallas and truly hated the Burnt Orange of Austin..

He was a high school phenom in Texas, so it's not like he came out of nowhere. Steroids were at their peak in the mid 80's to the early 90's. Bosworth was a 240 pound LB tat ran a 4.5 - 4.6, , and strong, before those LB's didn't exist yet. Lawrence Taylor was fast and strong of course, but it was rare to see in College. And his short career at Seattle was much better than people think. Injuries..

I hate when people talk about him being a bust. The dudes shoulders were in horrible condition. He still had over 100 tackles his 1st and second season. He was a freak of nature and that IQ was ridiculous.

Can you just imagine how many 15 yard penalties there would be if those plays were played today? Targeting. Unsportsmanlike conduct. Horse collar tackle. Personal foul. Taunting. I miss old football...

Lost among a lot of the controversy is that he was Academic All-Big 8 for 3 years and an Academic All-American. He made sure to finish his coursework in 3 years so he could leave early for the NFL.

Played 3 seasons. Had almost 400 tackles!! Championship against Miami, had 22 tackles. The pro's he changed positions. He was the playcaller at strongside, but in the pro's weakside.

@Matt Beeman totally agree with you. There has been at least a half dozen go through Miami's program that were better than Boz. Butkus and some of them other dudes from the 70's were real men. I watched them all play.

I remember being at a OU vs K-State game in Norman, Brian sacked the quarterback, dragged him back several yards , then stood over him yelling with his finger in his face. Flags flying ,15yds. Didn't matter, he got into that guy's head and he couldn't keep his eyes off Brian for the rest of the game.
