Talking about how bad Brain's technique is.... Do you even know what he is? That's part of his beauty. He's able to do things no one else can really do. He created his entire own way from drumming. He never had a favorite drummer. He's just an art student who realized he can do his art best through drums.

I love the Brians, the Rhode Island scene, noise, structured avant garde, respect Deerhoof but not a huge fan....I never liked long drum solos. Now I know what 2 drum solos played at the same time for almost 20 minutes, by two of the best drummers sounds like. Spastic savant having a fit. To Chippendale's credit, he did try and lay down a beat about 15 minutes in...

Wow I love all kinds of weird music and noise but honestly its just not that interesting to me to hear two drummers (even though I love both their bands) just play against each other. This gives me the same feeling I have gotten with various bands I've been in that had the habit of all just fucking around in their own world playing a cacophony of different music at the same time as soon as there was no focus to the practice session. It definitely makes me feel something though.
