There was no force in Hong Kong. Just protest backed by US npo.(CIA) Hong Kong was leased for 99 years. Taiwan is a a province of china and China has not attacked. More truth is coming out about Tibet. Let's talk about the endless proxy wars created by the US. The murder of over a million Iraq people killed under the lie if weapons of mass destruction. Etc

You have made an important point about the BRICS alliance. The EU firmly ties the hands of its members, not so with BRICS. BRICS simply provides much needed options for members. And once that alliance collectively takes a stand against US sanctions, US hegemony goes into a downward spiral. And along with it comes a much more peaceful world.

Don’t the American should consider to make example themselves first before lecturing other countries how to react? Two apparent components of democracy, freedom of speech and human right in particular, are simple buried into history within US as we speak, and the rest of the world would observe US domestic politics and found the exact opposite which make worse, if not lost at all, any power of persuasion. The Chinese approach is exactly the opposite to American by showing what they can achieve first and optionally offer their model and experience for learning to cut short possibility of mismanagement.

Japan devalued their Currency recently and it made very little difference. China has Cancelled $500m order of Phillipines Banana Order in favour of Vietnam and looking to reduce amount of Water Melon and Pineapple they buy from Phillipines. The Philippines has to increase amount of Rice to be Imported this year. Marcos stopped Duterte's BRI Initiative and Manila is a mess with Japan trying to build Metro. Japan has been thrown out of Vietnam after wasting 12 years trying to build HiSpeed Rail there.

BRICS, Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Two permanent security council members with veto powers, Two country with massive population numbers, each country with massive regional influence in their domain, one as largest democracy, one with large economy, one with large nuclear stockpile, one holding the largest exporter of sugar and coffee with significant influence in other commodities, and one with significant influence for human rights. Some might think that some of these nations are a terrible part for each other, and perhaps they do, but BRICS aren't a political bloc, they are socio-economic alliances. So what we Malaysians can bring to the table compared to these giants? Not a lot, but the few things we have, we are willing to offer. Large palm oil industry, ports next to Singapore, geographically at centre of ASEAN countries and a pretty dope vacation spot.

Malaysia Joining with BRICS is Game changer. However as I understand from Indian perspective swapping local currencies becoming a head ache for Russia. Since Russia accumulated huge amount of IRS and does not find any good source for swapping. This is due to trade imbalance. Same situation is for other BRICS countries too. Unless BRICS come up with new currency solution, either with a digital currency or Gold.

The World economy will never go away folks, there will be a shift in how transactions are made, and the United States will lose its hegemony, but can also join brics just like every country, and be the 800 lb. Gorilla in the room along with China, and Russia. Exchange currencies can absolutely work, cooperation with all countries large and small, can work. And along with these shifts, sanctions will change to adapt to these new standards in ways we will soon see, just like there will always be a black market, and criminal actions, so will there be a United States, on the other side of the planet, shifting to the changes, bending like a Reed in the wind.
