I do understand why hand drawn animation is being left behind, but the dude is right too, there's some magic to it, you can see the imperfections in such animations and that's kinda the magic i think, for example, with music, nowadays we are all used to perfectly pitched voices and instruments, but back in the 90s and before, people made mistakes singing and it made ot feel natural, i once watched a dude testing to put autotune in freddie's voice on bohemian rhapsody and the feeling of the voice just did not hit as hard as without it. Sometimes perfections loses the good imperfections that can make a characteristic animation, but yea its kind of expensive to cost hand drawn animation having so many good tools nowdays that anyone can use with just a little fraction of what a single hand drawn scene costs, wich can be used to do an entire movie, it's just not convenient to use.

I believe by hand method is quite archaic and should only be attempted by studios that are really ready to commit to it. I like how flexible and fast digital 3D and 2D art is with the ability to mimic many other styles. I still think the art of hand made content should live on but that the natural digital evolution of 2D and 3D animation is a necessary step to improve to process.
@crestofhonor2349
4 ай бұрын
I hard disagree. There are still lots of hand drawn works out there and it's far from archaic. 2D animation isn't really much harder than 3D and in some ways it's easier. 3D is not an evolution of 2D animation because they are two entirely different fields. Same reason why 3D animation hasn't replaced Stop Motion animation either. Each one has it's own distinct feel and has it's advantages and disadvantages when it comes to production and feel. 3D isn't an evolution of 2D
