You get a huge thumbs up from me 😂 I just bought a 2001 gz250 for $300 a few blocks away from my house and figured I’d just push it home instead of loading it up by myself and unloading it by myself! It’s been sitting for 8 years, no battery, no key or title! I got a battery, then instead of getting a key made for $150, I just ordered a whole new ignition plus 2 keys for $38 bucks. It’ll crank over if I run a wire from the battery to the starter so I tried it just to see if there was any life in her at all and yes, she’s definitely wanting to get up n go! Now I just have to clean everything out, drain all the old fluids etc and wait for my ignition to arrive and I’ll be set! 💯🤘🏼

This is basically the situation my GZ is in right now. Been sitting in the garage for almost 15 years.

Starting my gz250 is like this video every time. Even if I rode it this morning. I go through batteries and can not figure out why it goes dead so often. Seems to be a common complaint and still a mystery, I love the bike, she's pretty blue and shiny with just over 3k miles but dang. Ijdk.

I didn't. I puller the carb off, cleaned it... twice and then slipped some new tires on it. Runs great!

Would you pay $1500 for a 2006 Suzuki 250cc with 1300 miles? Or would you suggest grabbing a bigger bike?
@IgniteLight

That seems fair for the price. If it is my first bike, it would be great. If you're wanting to keep it a little longer you might check out honda shadows. Not much more money but a huge upgrade.

@@IgniteLight thanks for the info, I found a Honda Shadow for $2,000 but has 40,000 miles on it; would you advise grabbing that?

That is not a bad price. However, you might keep looking around to see if you can snag one with lower miles. They are very common bikes and good deals for them are not rare.

@@KillKyle712 probably nothing above what you've heard before. Ride defensively and as if you're invisible to other drivers.... because you basically are. Keep evasive maneuvers in your mind as you come up to intersections and other traffic. Try to ride out on county roads for a while, gives you a more relaxing ride so you can focus on becoming very good at control before the world throws obstacles at you. And have fun!
