Back on the burgers today!
You’ll either love this one or absolutely hate it, either emotion works! This peanut and blueberry burger takes me back to another life when I lived on the South coast in Brighton and went to @sussexuni . The burger idea originates from the famous Grubbs burger joint, a late night stumbling stop after a fair bit of drinking. Dubbed “The Malaysian” this is my take for a bit of weekend fun. I’ve included the brioche bun recipe too as they came out pretty good and you should defo give them a try even if the burger ain’t your bag!
Dough
1 cup warm water
3 tablespoons warm milk (I prefer whole milk)
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 large egg
3 cups bread flour
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt
2 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
Egg wash
1 large egg
splash of water
sesame seeds
Bake at 205degC for 20-25 mins till golden
