This is super! I was looking for a great brioche type bread to make a vegan babka - and couldn't find one that didn't use an egg replacer. Have you ever added tried to add aquafaba to the bread too?

Thank you for this recipe! Making it now, on last prove, so excited!! FYI to others, I kneaded it’s by hand, when you add the butter as he says, it really looks like it’s all gone to crap haha, but just keep going (hands will initially be greasy and buttery but it incorporates after a couple of mins of kneading)

Your Mom's Favorite Channel Oh amazing to hear from you, yes indeed, they were so good. That step with the gelatinised flour ru (sorry I forgot the name) really is a game changer, super impressed with how they can be squished and bounce back. I think when I do burgers, this will be THE recipe I use for buns... thank you again 🙌I look forward to trying more of your recipes ☺️

This looks really simple. Please can you give the ingredients by volume? I don't have a scale so mass measurements are difficult for me (where 1 cup = 250ml)

Amazing. One question: In my country I can’t find vegan butter, so would purified coconut oil work instead? Thanks!
@YourMomsFavoriteChannel
4 жыл бұрын
It should. It might give the bread a bit of a coconuty taste. And maybe add a big pinch of nutritional yeast to make of for the butter's flavour

I’m making this right now, and it’s going perfectly-exactly as you described. I’m planning to make a loaf. Thinking of rolling some chopped dried apricots and golden raisins in...would that totally mess up the final proof?

@@YourMomsFavoriteChannel this is a great recipe. It came out exactly as you described. I didn’t put dried fruit in this time. I want to get the recipe and techniques memorized before I mess around with fruit. Thanks a million. I love this bread.

@YourMomsFavoriteChannel

Let it proof a bit longer once you have done the final shaping. Also, make sure that your yeast is active before adding it in. If you brush some butter on the bread as soon as it comes out the oven, it also softens it a little bit
