A short video of preserved Bristol LH6L AFB586V at the Yorkshire Dales Running Day in Skipton on Sunday 8th October 2017.
This was my second attempt at recording audio and video seperately, using my old Samsung Galaxy S6 to capture the video (1920 x 1080 at 60 fps), and a Tascam DR-40 to capture the audio. these are then joined together in Windows Movie Maker. On this occasion, the camera was hand held, as I couldn't find a suitable position to mount the camera, so apologies if the footage is slightly wobbly! I haven't added any titles or captions to this footage, so the output should be as it was recorded.
Apart from what sounded like a worn bearing in the transmission, the bus sounded like a Bristol LH should. Bonus points are awarded for the owner/driver using 1st gear, which rarely happened in service as the ratio is so low. If you look closely on the front panel of the bus, you will see that the tell-tale warning lights are still fitted from its days as a training bus. This will no doubt also be the reason why the glass in the drivers side bulkhead is missing.
