A short Documentary telling the story of the little-known history of Britain’s oldest Muslim community. Yemenis first came to Britain as sailors and later to work in the factories, From the mid-nineteenth century, they married local British women, and established a network of Arab boarding houses and cafes. They founded Britain’s first mosques and religious communities in the early twentieth century, encountering racism, discrimination and even deportation in the process.
