In the US in certain major cities, they are having a hard time recruiting people for the police force. Some of this is mild.

The cell phone use while driving in the USA varies by state. I believe in my state you cannot touch the phone while driving or at a red light or stop sign.
@Robertz1986

The cell phone was a dispute caused by the fact that Ohio had texting while driving as a secondary offense (can only be cited if pulled over for something else first) at the time, however Columbus (our state capital) had a city ordinance which made it a primary offense. She was upset as she knew Ohio law made it a secondary offense, but was actually being charged under city law with a primary offense. This year Ohio made it a primary offense under state law, so it would now be moot.

Great video. Some of these were out of this world crazy. I wouldnt even bother trying to explain how all places and among all types of culture there are good and bad people. The ones like the guy trying to aggrivate the cops for a reaction will never understand as long as they keep that mindset. They only drag themselves down. Its better to just ignore them or play along until they get bored like the cops did. Sad how so many people act like that guy towards law enforcement today. At least according to news media and other forms of journalism. Ive seen a few in my area but I tend to ignore them and stay away. Most of the time I get along with others around me. That said there is still crime around every now and then. I am typically not around though.

People messing with their phones while driving is one of my biggest pet peeves. My driveway is on a highway and at least once a week some idiot on their phone gets so close to hitting me that I just pull into my driveway, close my eyes and thank the stars... Have literally driven into a ditch 4 times to avoid them. Whoever has the arrogance to think that their text message is more important than somebody's life is truly a narcissistic pos.

The bad part of these videos you don't get the full context of what's going on. The guy at the store was probably loitering and the clerk called the police. But who knows, we don't get to see the whole video. What he was doing or when the police walked up, what was said. Only the ending.

In defense of the last guy, the police were getting in his face for unknown reasons. They do this whenever they THINK someone is suspicious or loitering. And sometimes they are trying to abuse their power. Don't know if that's what happened here. I applaud the attitude of the one cop, because they need to be able to let that rude crap roll off their backs without becoming offended. It's not in most people's wheelhouse, but it is critical for policepersons. Police abuse their power every single day, and yet sometimes refuse to act when they need to. It's a delicate balance that most don't seem to mange very well. It's hard to be polite when someone is rude. It's hard to ask someone's business when it really is none of yours, and do it without offending. It's hard to deal with people who lie to you. It's hard to handle people who want to hurt you in a fair and impartial way and still help them. Having been in the medical field all my life I understand this. And yet, we in the medical field, manage it every hour of every day. Police need to also.

You can’t arrest someone over here for verbal abuse it’s freedom of speech we’re protected. As long as you aren’t threatening them you’re protected in the constitution. Also the cops could’ve been watching him closely making him feel uncomfortable due to their track record in this country I’d feel uncomfortable if police officers were watching me closely and you have to take into account his personal past experience with law enforcement in his area. And the fact the officers started the interaction with him could’ve made him even more uneasy
