Hi. German guy here. A very, VERY long time ago (around 40 years!) I was on vacation on Jersey in a marvelous residence "Panorama Private" with my parents. Crumpets were on the menu for tea. We didn't have a clue of what that is, asked and the explanation sounded promissing. So we ordered. There is literally nothing better than having a fresh and warm crumpet with butter and strawberry jam while having a cup of Earl Grey Tea in the summer! Also, Cadbury Chocolate in the evening. Missing those times. I recommend a visit at the Jersey Pottery and for learning history the Military Museum. After a few stations and reading the texts or listening to experiences, you get very quiet as a german, allthough it was my grandparents generation. These two things got carved into my brain: the Museum and crumpets. I hope to get to visit the Island again with my family.
