Although Patty sang this with Vince, she did not appear in the video. I can't remember the name of the girl. They definitely have their own careers, but with absolute perfection in harmonizing they have to do it sometimes! With Patty, Vince and Ricky Scaggs performing together is a real treat!! Ricky Skagg has his own career too & he's very good! Thank you very much for doing this!! Oh, in the hills and hollers they spent their evening playing instruments(some were home made) singing & dancing on the porch!! They had no where to go & nothing to do but make babies! lol 🤠

Vince Gill and Patty Loveless' voices harmonize better than any two people I can think of. Their voices are haunting. Two songs you might want to check out from the same era are Doug Stone's "I'd be better off (in a pine box)" - one of my top 5 favorite country songs - and Mark Chestnutt's "Too cold at home." As for haunting, I would recommend Alison Krauss' song, "Jacob's Dream."

The woman singing harmonies on this song with him is Patty Loveless (she's Loretta Lynn's cousin) and she has some great songs of her own. Here's some of hers : Blame it on your heart, I try to think about Elvis, I'm that kind of girl, Chains, Timber I'm falling in love, Don't toss us away, Hurt me bad(in a real good way), How can I help you say goodbye, Lonely too long, You don't seem to miss me ft. The actor from Officer and a Gentleman, David Keith was in it. She's fantastic. I agree that another good Vince Gill song and video is Look at Us...Great. I can't hear or see When I call your Name without crying A LOT! Sorry about typos. I had an accident last week where I broke my ribs, wrist, had a concussion with a brain bleed and screwed up my eye. Vincent (Vince) Gill is not at all your typical country artist. He attended college on a GOLF scholarship and wanted to be a professional golfer. Simultaneously he was a phenomenal guitarist and, unbeknown to most, singer as well. Vince began doing Nashville studio session work, as an instrumentalist, then a backup singer too. Patti Loveless hired him to work on some of her albums. This was Vince's break out #1, Grammy and Country Music Association award winning song. He has gone on to forge an INCREDIBLE country music career.
