The units speak a sort of proto early modern English mixed with some modern elements for familiarity.. all with UK dialect (Mostly from England itself and not Scotland, Ireland or Wales). Later Fortress - Imperial units seem to speak more modern English for familiarity reasons I assume, especially the Falconets. Key: * (?) = May be asked as a question. Commandement (?) - "Orders?" // "What is your command?" // "What will you have me do?" Heil // Hael (?) - Hail // "What have you hailed (contacted) me for?" Iwol - "I will" Imeanso - "I mean so" (I mean to do it//I will do it) Iwisse - "I wish it done!" Hunter - Hunter Gatherer - Harvester // Food collector "Forestirr" - Forester // Lumberjack (US) Fischer - Fisherman (Saxon // German) Bricht - Bricklayer // Builder // Mason "Lye on" // Laiyon - "Lay waste"// to attack Assail - Attack! // Assault Avonce // Aavance // Advance - Advance // Forward Ready (?) - Ready Rite // Right - Right // "I got it" // "I will get it right" Bereit // Reit - Ready! (From Saxon // German, sounds like "Right") Feuer - Fire (From Saxon // German) Yis // Yes (?) - "Yes" --- Some explorer tings --- "I am sorry my liege, I may not steera" - I am sorry my liege (Lord/King/Emperor/Superior), I cannot change course. (My fate is sealed). "I can you thank that ye ransomed me" - Thanks for paying my ransom. EDIT: added some words after Feuer.

With Virginia Company, British become OP. 87 Wood for a house/settler. I can have a full economy with 200 pop cap by middle of Age II, even with a few soldiers and market upgrades.

How long are you staying in age 2 for? You can only build 20 manors which equals 20 vills.

In other words: British = One of the strongest nations if not the strongest atm. It really is, you cannot argue with that. It has almost no cons and those that it has are pretty much non-existent with the inclusion of home shipments and allies. The Skrims are replaced with bowman, so I don't understand why would you even put that as a reason; Home shipments and late game take care of the wood problem; ally support pretty much covers for the fact that you are weak early.

I don't find the Grenadiers or Longbows a perfect replacement for skirmishers, but I do think the pike-bow and musket-grenade combos are great until you get the factories. I can see why they went with Britain and Spain as the beginner civs; they're great for booming , have balanced roster and easy to learn. the guard upgrades for Muskets and Hussars make them very easy to use and you don't have to be tricky about them. I'm so guilty of underrating the rockets and need to use them more often.

Smart and accurate nation review S.R.! The British are my favorite gunpowder civ after the Ottomans. Thanks bro! Positive vibes on your next video. Spain is my favorite civ. I always stuck up with home shipments due to their fast exp gain and faster delivery as well. On revolution this bonus makes them awsome. And, besides unction, I recomend you use their war dogs to get treasures + TEAM Explorer Combat and Conquistador cards for your explorer. Also, try the pike + skirm combination with morters for late or pike + crossbow for rush with their the archaic soldier training card. And also the lancer+dragoon combo. P.S. Try to get T.P. as early as you can + native upgrades are insane. xD

In the Cons section i don't think they are the weakest early game,in fact i would say it's one of the strongest, they have good early cards and with the manor houses you can focus on making muskets while producing settlers with them. I think you shouldn't have put that other than that good video.

Lucas Senande Lopez I see what you mean. When I say early game I mean immediate rush compared to the natives, india, or Russia for example.

Just an idea, make a longbow and native rush: you focus on food and wood and you build a trade post in a native village in age 1. As soon a as you hit age 2 you pump out natives until you have reached the limit. In the meantime you build 1 or 2 barracks and start training longbows and pikes (for the buildings). Good cards are surely the faster infantry training, the Virginia company (to save some wood), and the faster wood collection. I tried it on Carolina in singleplayer with the Cherokee rifleman against Russia on hard and it worked pretty well but you can surely try other natives for better results.

I don't feel adept enough to talk much about out-of-the-box strategies on the Spanish, but I do hope there will be a mention of Spanish galleons in their overview. Naval game is situational, but with the appropriate cards, those things are pretty effective at just kicking any opponent off the seas. Given it can produce units, you can afterwards use them as forward bases too.

You gotta try out grenadiers with dragoons & some artillery (rockets or horse artillery are both good). That is such a dominating combo mid game. The dragoons cover your grens better than musks in my experience. Skirms are your only threat but it only takes 2 or 3 rockets to stop that problem 😆 its great because as british you always have the pop space midgame for those units from your house boom- you forgot to mention fulling mills as an OP card btw. So excited for spain it was my first civ i played! If you are ever up against Aztec in a treaty pick Spain they litterally cannot counter a lancer & rod/pike combo its just impossible haha my favorite strat with spain is on water maps you age up with the outpost politician and send your galleon card, put the outpost wagon and sneak behind the opponents base and put down the tower and train troops with the galleon while sending shipments to the outpost. New england and Carolina are especially good maps for this. Most civs can do this BUT spain does it best with archaic training and faster shipments and war dogs too. Rodeleros make a great cheap cav stand in age 2 as well. Also you have to do the legendary spain FF with their crazy shipments! Look forward to it and great civ review!

SamuraiRevolution forgot to mention! I also really dont think lack of skirmishers is a huge deal honestly but maybe thats just because my 3 main civs are aztec russia and brits all of which dont have skirms... and spain but i usually go lancer/pike as spain as the lancers just counter everthing but cav so well. Maybe im weird but i think skirms are overrated; too specialized

The historical reason why the British Grenadier is OP with upgrades is because of the Grenadier Guards. It might as well be a Royal Guard.

Also, the British lack a later-to-late oriented game dedicated and exclusive melee heavy infantry unit. The British don't have halberdiers, and their pikemen cannot be upgraded to age IV level and beyond (unlike the Spanish).
