In Brunei our kue cincin is red in colour.It contains tumeric and kapur(sea shells skin forget the term in English)) which turns the rice flour into red colour.The filling is made of palm sugar)

You should explain to them before they eat it. For chicken rendang, you can prepare rice...

They did have rice with the rendang I think just can’t easily see, we did talk a bit off camera as well about each dish

It's very common in Sabah. Usually ppl who come to sabah will buy this as one of souvenir.
