What can you say? Queen will always be my absolute favourite band of all time, and while Freddie was one of a kind, Adam more than does justice to him. Not only because he has a fantastic voice, but because he is a genuine fan of Freddie. To still be singing with Queen over a decade later is all the proof you need. An unquestionable 10/10 for this for sure!

Adam Lambert is a stunning and unique vocalist and frontman. He has an incredible vocal range and can pull off things live that very few singers can manage, if any at all, especial in the reaching the extreme notes department. Check out below their live performance of 'Who Wants To Live Forever' at Isle of Wight festival 2016. Jaw Dropping. May says: “He's still astounding, the lengths he can push things to is extraordinary...Sometimes I'm standing right here playing ‘Who Wants To Live Forever,’ and he's there doing his thing. And when he goes into this stratospheric thing in the middle, I very often go, ‘Wow.’”

To see Adam on his own try The Avicci Tribute Concert, Lay Me Down it’s amazing. Who wants to live forever with Queen at the Isle of Wight is also an amazing example of his talent. Brian May calls him a “gift from God” and says he’s the reason they can tour to sold out arenas. Realize they do a 2 and a half hour show of the Queen songbook. All difficult songs to sing but they do it together like the family they’ve become. Wonderful reaction, gentlemen. Thank you.

I remember seeing some interview or maybe it was in the documentary but Brian was talking about what they did after Freddie passed until they got Adam and all the singers they collaborated with. He specifically said every singer they performed with could do some of their songs but not all of them, due to the wide variety of style and sound and nobody had a similar range to Freddie. Adam is the only one can sing all of their songs and do them justice. They found out about him due to American Idol too. They actually performed at the finale with him and the winner. Kiss did too but only performed with Adam. Brian and Roger said as soon as that season of American Idol ended they wanted to ask him to perform with them but held back so he could do his own thing for a little bit and start his own career, but kept a close eye. Thus 2011, Adam becomes lead singer.

What Adam did was fill the vocal void and bring his own flamboyant style and wit. Not a Freddie clone, but quite a personality that the "front man" of Queen would need to be. For those that do not know, Brian May does have a KZitem channel here and he does toss out riffs and such in little short videos. Very fun.

There's a documentary on Netflix called The Show Must Go On and it has many interviews with Brian, Roger, and Adam as well some other singers and reporters. It talks about how they dealt with the death of Freddie and how Adam Lambert just basically just came around when they weren't looking and thought their Queen touring days were over. It's really good. Adam's has some really good songs and sometimes they have played them at the Queen + Adam Lambert concerts like Ghost Town, What Do You Want From Me and Lucy. I really am into his song Closer to You and Feel Something from his last album Velvet, they are beautiful. From what I understand Adam's tongue comes out to make More room in his mouth when he's singing. Some other singers are known to do this as well.

I saw them in Nashville on their last American tour in 2019. I've been a Queen fan since the release of their 1st album back in 1973 when I was a teenager. I missed out on seeing them in concert with Freddie which is really frustrating being as I saw practically everyone else..from Hendrix to Zeppelin (3 times). Heck, I even saw Elvis twice. But oh, how I would love to have seen Freddie. That being said, I was thrilled out of my mind to finally see Brian play the Red Special & Roger twirl those drumsticks in 2019. They're both still great at what they do. And Adam's voice was flawless..sharp & clear as crystal. Plus he's a wonderful performer & you can see the rapport he has with Brian & Roger. They obviously enjoy playing together. And I take them at their word when they say Freddie would've loved Adam, as both an artist & a person. They should know. Now that they're touring again I highly recommend them to anyone considering going to see them. They put on a helluva show. And there's something magical about sitting in a packed arena with thousands of fans of all ages, singing along with those iconic songs. Adam makes it clear that he's honoring Freddie as a fan himself. And Brian & Roger include Freddie with special moments of remembrance. There are moments when there's not a dry eye in the house. And other moments of real joy that everyone feels together. It's beautiful. Enjoyed your reaction very much. How about another Elvis reaction? So much buzz about the new movie coming out this month. Would love to see you react to the second trailer for the film. Would also love to see you react to "Bridge Over Troubled Water" live in Las Vegas 1970. Much love from Kentucky U.S.💙☮

I just watched this one because of the other Adam Lambert videos you've reacted to recently and I'm so glad you gave it 10/10! 😄 I haven't read through all the other comments but just fyi, the tongue thing is a singing technique that reduces pressure on his vocal cords. Sometimes he does it just for fun too LOL, but when he's singing the powerful high notes, it's a protective technique. I think there are copyright protections on Queen songs now so I don't know if KZitem will let you do the Who Wants to Live Forever at the Isle of Wight, but at least watch that one on your own.
