As a brazilian, i need to say the dishes presented are not in their best presentation. The feijoada is suposed to be a stew, the dish is very dry, and farofa makes it even dryer...the picanha was waaaaaay overcooked! In Brazil we call Picanha like that "piece of charcoal" or "waste of good meat". This seems to be very commom on videos of people from other countries trying brazilian food: They try VERSIONS of brazilian dishes, made in a very diferent way.

Two things that make these types of videos difficult. The culture of making bad food and using sauce on everything to disguise the taste, just like Americans do. The second is Buzzfeed's lack of interest in delivering food at the right temperature. Fried foods, like cheese balls, meat and French fries, when eaten cold are horrible and even I, a Brazilian siu, wouldn't give it a high rating.
@leandroatreides
Ай бұрын
I second that! Americans and some other nations need sauce in everything. Anything that is not wet (sauce) is too dry. They taste pretty much the seasoning/sauce and the main ingredient is a mere base to hold the sauce. You see Americans doing those huge barbecues and the put so many seasoning on the meat that it does not matter what cut their using because they only need the most tender and juicy meat that they will never taste the of that specific cut. Even French fries needs sauce. Usually you see them dipping them in ketchup. It's okay, I like it too but even the simplest food needs a sauce or a hot of seasoning and still they can't cook delicious rice and beans, that why they do not like them. In England beans come in cans and they have it on top of a toast for breakfast. Many foreigners that come to Brazil love our food and they are surprised to know that we add just garlic to everything and it tastes the hell of a lot better than the rice and beans they have in their country, lmao.

Brazilian cuisine is a fusion of flavors, colors and aromas, which reflects the country's cultural diversity. With indigenous, African, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese and many other influences, Brazilian cuisine is a true journey of flavors. One of the reasons why Brazilian food is considered one of the best in the world is due to the variety of fresh and regional ingredients available. From tropical fruits like mango and cashew, to fresh fish from the Brazilian coast, the diversity of ingredients is unparalleled. Furthermore, the way the dishes are prepared, with cooking techniques that vary from region to region, makes Brazilian cuisine unique and unparalleled. The use of seasonings such as pepper, coriander and palm oil give a special touch to the dishes, making them irresistible. The mix of cultural influences is also an important factor in the richness of Brazilian gastronomy. Dishes such as feijoada, acarajé and moqueca are examples of the fusion of flavors and techniques from different cultures, resulting in delicious and unique dishes. Furthermore, Brazilian cuisine is a way of celebrating life and coexistence. Eating is a social act in Brazil, and meals are moments of sharing and communion. It's no wonder that Brazilian food is known for its generosity and hospitality. In short, Brazilian cuisine is a mix of flavors, cores and cultures that make it one of the best in the world. With its diversity of fresh ingredients, unique techniques and varied cultural influences, Brazilian food is a true feast for the senses. Therefore, it is no wonder that Brazilian cuisine is so acclaimed and appreciated around the world. ❤️❤️❤️🇧🇷❤️❤️❤️

Feijoada does have a lot of stew and different cuts of pork, including Portuguese sausage. Naturally, the delivery does not include too much stew or it can leak during transport. Picanha is well done, which makes it dry. We prefer medium rare or rare, then picanha becomes tender, juicy and yummy! The best way to appreciate a great Picanha is at Brazilian barbecue restaurant, preferably in São Paulo or in the south of Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul. I usually take my English or Swiss friends to Figueira Rubaiyat. But in São Paulo, there are also: Barbacoa, NB Steak, Fogo de Chão, Varanda etc. You need to travel to Brazil to find out the beautiful beaches, discover the biggest metropolis that is São Paulo and enjoy Brazilian people company and up spirits and live happiness! Cheers!

Slaves were feed with Cassava porridge and anything they could find in the wild, so if you think that slaves eat, eggs, chicken, pork, NO, their meet were snakes, bugs, monkeys or fish if they had luck.
