As a biscuit maker for many years (I haven't used Pilsbury's biscuits in a long time), I find that if you actually place the biscuits on the baking sheet touching each other, they will rise higher. Don't do the 2 inches apart thing, just place them in the center in a circle and make sure they are touching. Put some in the center too, touching. Then bake. You'd be shocked by how much higher they rise. For some strange reason, opening the Pilsbury can scares the heck out of me. Just like popping a champagne cork. I get major anxiety! 😄 Let them cool a bit before eating, at least 5-10 minutes. They won't be as doughy in the middle. Don't cut them with a knife, use your fingers to split them open. Using a knife makes them compressed and doughy. I prefer homemade, every time, using buttermilk. Plus try them with honey or jam and butter - they are fantastic.

My personal favorite Biscuits are Red Lobsters Cheddar Bay biscuits. They sell the mix in stores here in the US. They are basically regular biscuits with shredded cheddar mixed into the dough . Then right when they come out of the oven you brush them with a Herbal Garlic Butter. I'm sure you can use your homemade recipe and just look online on how much cheese to make and how to make the herbal butter. Also whenever I make homemade biscuits I like to cheat and just use a muffin try to bake them in. 😄

Also for more of a sweet treat add butter and drizzle a small amount of pancake syrup (maple) or for a summer treat slice open a couple of biscuits and add cut up strawberries and cream (whipped cream from the can - Redi Whip) and you could also add vanilla ice cream separately or with the cream too! Yummmmmm!!!😂😂😂😂😂 ps - put washed and sliced strawberries in a container add a teaspoon or more of sugar into the bowl, mix together, add a bit of cold water to it stir and put the covered bowl in the fridge over night. This adds to the sweetness and creates a bit of a strawberry slurry. 😊

England doesn't have these??? I think they've had them here since the 50's which I was born in the 60s & we've always had them SO versatile, u can make little pizzas, chicken & Dumplings, chicken pot pie, tiny fruit pies, cinnamon rolls, etc...

No Gena, that's why when we first wanted to try biscuits we had to make them from scratch so we could fall in love with them. It's a great idea. If they weren't refrigerated I would have filled a suitcase with them LOL. Mrs H 💕

@Mr H and Friends oh ok I just thought u wanted to make them for cooking with Mrs H. Homemade is usually better anyway but these are just so easy & taste good to & so sorry they aren't in the UK. My niece is in London going to vet school & only loves all the new things THERE that we DON'T have HERE. I love ur channel & have shared it many times, u make us all happy & brighten our day & make us laugh & warm our hearts. Then hopefully Pillsbury will get smart & sell their products in the UK & other countries, seems like they're missing a huge opportunity. Sorry we've had them since the 1950's I think we take for granted they're everywhere. Maybe Pillsbury will see this & make themselves INTERNATIONALLY KNOWN FINALLY. I think it's adorable how u guys try not to say u dislike certain products thinking u will insult us but alot of us dislike the same items too. So don't worry about hurting our feelings because we can't all be the same just be honest & if someone gets insulted over u all not liking something it's their problem not yours. I was hoping to see Foosa seeing u all for the 1st time when u came home after being gone for 3 weeks, the purring & the headbutting & cuddles. We bloody love u 2. 🐈⬛😻😄😝😍💜🙏🤟

By 4th grade I was making homemade dinner biscuits for neighbors who paid me 25 cents a batch. I made from scratch like how hard is that if a fourth grader can make them.

I have had some very badly made homemade biscuits in my life. I suspect you are better than many others. Remember, they were paying you for biscuits instead of making them themselves.

Three things. First, yes, you should let them get a little more golden brown. Second, When you cut them open, put the butter in the middle on sandwich it with the top and bottom. Which brings us to three, eat them hot. This last one is most important. They are at their best, directly out of the oven. When you put them on the table, you should keep them covered with a towel, to keep the heat in.

It's 11:30PM now, and I wasn't hungry a few minutes ago... but just seeing the biscuits come out of the oven, I can *smell* them, and now I'm hungry 😂 Time for whatever midnight snack I can find in my kitchen that's closest to biscuits, I guess 😂 *EDIT* Turns out I still had a couple of leftover cheddar garlic biscuits in the fridge from when I made them earlier this week! YESS, SCORE! (Also, if you haven't had Red Lobster's cheddar bay garlic cheese biscuits, DEFINITELY add that to your list! They're from the restaurant Red Lobster -- obviously -- but you can also buy official frozen dough for them to make at home.)

You are correct, homemade or bought at a restaurant will almost always be better. But on a lazy weekend day when you want something quick and not have to bust out a bunch of utensils and ingredients and clean up the mess, you really can't beat biscuits in a can.

Cracker Barrel is top tier biscuits, but Pillsbury is pretty great. I’ll second the comments that recommended frozen over canned Pillsbury. The benefit to canned though is being able to use the dough for other things, like crusts, turnovers, pigs in a blanket, etc.

Baking vs Broil Baking cooks the food using heat from the top down and the bottom up Broiling cooks the food using heat from the top down only.

Yeah just a touch undercooked as you placed them on a low rack and set timer to minimum time. They're great with a a bit of jam with the butter... put the lid back on next time instead of splitting it and the butter will melt properly.

After you peel off the layer, hold the tube by one end and whack (hit) them on the edge of the counter. They’ll pop right open. I also agree that the pillsbury frozen biscuits are better than canned.

Lolll I love the "Mama!!!" "...I just killed a man!!" joke! I used to do that with my daughter when she was little, she would be in her pack and play, and I'd be working in the kitchen and we'd have a Queen duet 😂😂😂

I like putting all the biscuits nice and tight against each other preferably in a round pan. It makes the biscuits rise higher which in turn prevents the middle from being doughy. Maybe its all in my head but it works well for me. If its made in a skillet or dutch oven I like it even better!

Pillsbury grands and some grape or strawberry jam or jelly is a staple for a quick and easy breakfast around our house. Classic southern food! Makes a great chicken and dumplings meal also! Just cut the biscuits in 4 pieces and you have your dumplings! Great reaction!

You don't need a knife. Take a biscuit and just open it with your hands, but not all the way! Put the butter (or jam/jelly) in the middle and close it up like a sandwich so the butter melts. Otherwise, just break them up and make some sausage gravy! lol

I like to split them in half and place some crispy bacon or a breakfast sausage patty in the middle. If I want to get really fancy, I'll also add a cheese slice and some scrambled eggs to the meat, and have a homemade breakfast slider. Life don't get no better than that! Me and my Air Force buddies started doing this at the base chow hall, back in the day. The cook saw us doing this and put it on his breakfast menu.
