Nurse here. Adrenaline and epinephrine are the same thing. I think AdrenaPen is the game's knockoff of EpiPen. You're right that EpiPen is trademarked - it's a brand name for the epinephrine injection pen, which is used to treat anaphylactic shock. Sorta related, but people with asthma also tend to have severe allergies, and vice versa.

yippee we finished one! i was completely lost on the last case, so many names. just seemed way too complicated. when the game showed extra stuff at the end like carol's diary, i started to get reeealy disappointed because i thought it was supposed to be the "everything gets explained" thing. thankfully, that's not the case and i can rest satisfied

Last case was pretty hard to follow, yeah - especially because every character had a second name on the computer that we have to mix and match. Mistaken identity ended up being our downfall, but I still thought it was a solid mystery

i really feel like you jumped to a lot of assumptions this time. like typically you want to have the evidence that matches up, but in this case you just decided that 'sponsored' meant supplied alcohol and that jack lied about playing bass. neither of those were things that were provable but you just seemed so sure. this one also felt more rushed than the others? like you were skimming documents but also like talking faster and moving faster, flicking through things super quickly which did kind of seem like a sign of impatience. not saying that's true of course that's just what it felt like.

So odd, I think we actually spent the longest on this one than of any case (hour and 40, I think?). Making assumptions is part of the game for sure, but you're right that we might have been a little hasty in some of them. Sometimes when you get one theory that fits even a little you just get complete tunnel vision for it unless and until something totally disqualifies it. Hope that didn't make this a frustrating watch!

Haven't finished the episode (only 9 minutes in) but if I had to go in and just make a blind guess on this case I would have said manslaughter (potentially 2nd degree murder depending on how the DA would feel) via hazing gone wrong since unfortunately if you listen to any true crime case involving a house party and a male victim this is almost always the outcome. That said I think the bullet rules that out pretty quickly, or at least makes it infinitely less likely! Surprised all of the cases so far have opted to use automatics/semi-automatics re: the guns since they eject casings, I would have expected a curveball by now with a revolver. It's probably to give you more evidence to look at but it's definitely something I'm waiting for them to drop unexpectedly.

Getting to this a couple days late as I've been agonisingly busy with my college work. I had this afternoon off, so I took it as an excuse to overanalyse this case for a couple hours as I watch this video. Spoiler Free Overview: I took an absolutely agonising amount of notes for this episode (Almost 13 B5 pages), and managed to get 3/4 of the questions right at just under the halfway point. I think the misdirection of your guy's commentary led me astray on who the killer was, but I did manage to mostly get it. What follows are some of the transcriptions of my notes as I made sure to add time stamps whenever I was deducting something. Not all are typed up, but I'd be okay sharing them in the Discord if you wanted to see the full extent of my breakdown. This is now a spoiler zone for those who haven't seen the video. I go between transcribing my notes and speaking in hindsight, so sorry if this is confusing. 01:44 = Murder victim in bedroom, and seems to have fallen from the direction of the door. Shell casing present indicated that the victim was shot. Single blood splatter indicates a single fatal blow. Fatal blow was to the victim's left side and seems to have bled heavily. Bulled casing close to the body indicates that the shot could have been close range. At this point, I tried to construct a timeline as we got to the laptops, however, I revise this later. I also refer to people by their chat usernames for a while before there is concrete evidence behind names as I didn't want to make assumptions. 16:19 = There were 4 in the band, presumably the 4 guys (Andrew, Jack, Eric Brian). Only 3 gave an interview: Andrew, Jack & Eric, confirming that Brian is dead. 19:04 = Kittylover54 + Vader217 lived at this flat and were probably siblings (deduced by how they lived together, but Vader217 was dating Gracie59). It's also at this point (22:35) I begin piecing together that jester578 was probably Andrew as Kaylee mentioned about there being a tennis racket in the duffel bag. I note "jester578 joined tennis club to get closer with Kristy, thus the tennis racket in the sport bag with drumsticks". 24:37 = Kristy is a Carter, however she also has brothers, so cannot rule who was at summer school yet. 25:30 = We can conclude Jack is g4m3rb01 as Vader217, who is presumably Brian, wanted to check a bassline (or something) with him and Jack played base (note: a good chunk of bass and guitar players can play both but generally stick to one). Jack also mentions working, which works with g4m3rb01 working at his dad's store. 27:25 = Here is where I conclude who is who in terms of the usernames: Vader217 = Brian Olson (can figure out once sure of who owns the flat) g4m3rb01 = Jack (see above timestamp) Gracie59 = Grace (this one is given) kittylover54 = Lisa (same as Brian) Strik3rz = Eric (Shown through the group chat messages) jester578 = Andrew (definitely the most convoluted to figure out, but can be found through his reactions to information about Kristy, and process of elimination as long as you get Jack correct) At 34:32, I speak about Eric being Kristy's brother, not Jack. This is because of Holt and Kaylee's assumption of the Strik3rz message on the 28th being suspicious, however, this took me, and them, down an insane rabbit hole. 36:56 = I have 3 out of 4 of the questions definitely answered, all of which were the correct answers. Brian was dead, Lisa was the penultimate one to arrive, and it was Andrew's sport bag. At 42:14, I speak about being suspicious of Eric's detail in his answer, as people with overly detailed alibies often are trying to cover their tracks. However, I do acknowledge the holes in my own theory, specifically about Eric being on the track team but (in my theory of him being Kristy's brother) also having asthma. 46:48 = I constructed a full timeline here. I was going to transcribe it, but this comment is long enough and if you've watched the video to this point then you know everything here. It was mostly me gathering evidence. 58:32 = I cone to some conclusions about Jack being the killer in tandem with Holt + Kaylee, though for very different reasons. I replaced Jack in the brother narrative and it was more convincing, though I was stuck on when exactly he killed Brian. I'm not the biggest fan of how he did the crime as of the case file summaries at the end, but c'est la vie. 1:04:36 = I distinctly note that I was feeling smug about figuring out the bag here, and admittedly I am a little bit, though honestly I did have 12 full pages of notes at this point. Overall! I did like this case, especially trying to figure out who's username was who, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the conclusion, even if it does make sense. I think Kaylee was genius at the end for putting Jack's asthma and his dislike of smoking together, as I completely blanked on that and would have figured things out a lot sooner if I had also put those things together. I did really like the bonus bits of humanizing the killers, and overall I really enjoyed these cases. I look forward to the next upload as always, and I'm down for debating in the comments since I genuinely enjoy this game, and I am living vicariously through this playthrough, as you might be able to tell by this comment lmao

Liveblog time!! CHEKHOV'S PEANUT ALLERGY? 21:42 I'm sensing Kristy might've falsely accused Brian of assaulting her and he died for nothing... Interesting already that the girl spreading the rumor that Kristy was assaulted is, judging by her nickname, presumably named Cassandra. Symbolism? Maybe?? Also interesting that Kristy is notably spacey during her interview (officer has to repeat the same question twice), and Jack continues to talk about the late Brian in the present tense. 27:35 If Lisa left the key to her room at her friend's house, she probably couldn't open it after coming back, so it's interesting that the door is open now. It could be just that they left it unlocked so that we could investigate in her room, but I'll keep it in mind. Ooh...if Brian took the key....... Ah, no, Brian just has a spare key to her room, which Lisa knows about. Nothing suspicious here. Alright, I'll take that off my mental corkboard. 30:32 Isn't it kind of implied here that Lisa was sleeping as the party was still going on, considering that Andrew was here when she woke up? Might've had some really fucking good earplugs in then...OR, the way that this is phrased, with the information of "I was asleep (presumably fell asleep while the party was going on)" coming DIRECTLY AFTER "so yeah Andrew got us alcohol", kind of makes me think the drinks might've been roofied. I bet that could make you sleep through a gunshot, or not remember that you heard one. Huh, Kristy has dyed green hair. I bought into your angle of Kristy being the hot popular girl, and I have trouble integrating that into my mental image now. Not to say hot popular girls can't have green hair, but it's not the stereotype, yanno? Why did Kristy go into the apartament of the man that (she claims to have) assaulted her? A confrontation? Blackmail? If the drinks were spiked...wild theory: maybe it's Kristy that did it, and that's why she was here before the party, to preemptively ruin it? 37:09 That makes me think Jack is bullshitting when he says he left the party immediately after finishing his drink - not only did he stick around long enough for him and Brian to argue, Eric takes note of Brian locking himself in his room after the argument, but not of Jack storming off in a huff, which feels like it'd stick in his memory just as much, if not more. Of course, we have to adjust for the accuracy of his memories from when he was plastered and possibly roofied. 40:07 WAIT THIS JUST STRUCK ME. Grace says that Kristy left before the party even started. Why the hell is her bag still in the apartament then? Did she forget it? Did she for real forget to take her LIFE SAVING MEDICATION WITH HER?? Honestly that bathroom is way too goddamn clean for an apartament where two teens live 51:47 Wait! "I was thinking the same, talk to her". This is interesting in the light of Grace openly hating Kristy - despite that, Brian seems to think that she has enough sway over her to convince her to admit that she was lying. Could it be they were pretending to be friends? Also, Grace says Kristy lied about the assault to drive a rift between her and Brian so she could have him to himself, but why would Brian ever date someone that falsely accused him of something THIS grave? Either Kristy is REALLY fucked up and this is a case of "if I can't have you, no one can", or Grace is hardcore projecting here. If the duffel bag question is wrong...I don't believe that Jack lied about being the bassist. After all, the bassist's DM's repeatedly mention him often working at his dad's store, and Jack said he spent most of the day of the party working. The incriminating thing in that bag aren't the drumsticks, it's the note about having feelings for Kristy. Notice that the girl from tennis club that Lisa was talking to was playing the pronoun game when she said that HE was trying to go back home with Kristy. Who was HE? We know some unnamed guy on the tennis team had a crush on Kristy; Jack could've made any male tennis player suspicious if he had that knowledge, just by planting a love note in his bag. 1:05:23 Hm, it seems that Kristy might have asthma, though, and is also a tennis player...WAIT. That's why the bag is here, isn't it? It's all making sense now, Kristy is an athlete, so she probably doesn't have asthma, Kristy couldn't have logically left her bag at the apartament, and Lisa said it, Kristy has brothers! The letter in the bag is talking about a different Carter, and the inhaler is evidence for this! Kristy's BROTHER Jack killed Brian, not the guy that had a crush on her!!! Alright, case file time Ooooh he didn't TAKE the baby...That feels really obvious in retrospect, but I'd accepted it so fully that he took her that I never even considered another option! 1:21:28 YEEEEEEEAH 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 JACK CARTER BABY!!! OH YEAH I didn't even notice the smoking thing! So that's another thing Jack blatantly lied about in his interview, he said he walked out because he hated the smell, because if he let it slip that he has asthma, they'd immediately find him suspicious if they found an inhaler on the scene! Liveblog over! Yeah that one is my new favorite lol. Good meaty story, lots to chew on. Great clue with the inhaler and the smoke sensitivity, probably the coolest bit of detective work we'd had to do so far. Although I don't understand why they took time to render the bathroom, considering how Very Much Nothing is there lol

BROOOOOOO that thing about Jack referring to Brian in the present tense,,,,, I mean that kinda makes sense with his story because he was supposed to have left before the murder occurred, but STILL that's a crazy observation, good work. Pat on the back for clocking Kristy as a lying skank, still mad about that. So cool to see you solve the mystery in real time, more efficiently and accurately than we did. I clung onto that text message too hard and it messed with my ability to see new theories smh.

Oh, and one thing I noticed after a while - the game seems relatively particular about the spelling of names in the exam answers, putting in full names wherever applicable etc., but it accepted Jack as a correct answer instead of Jack Carter. I think this could be taken to mean that the devs assumed the case could, and likely will be, solved without ever realising Jack was Kristy's brother. Tbh I think I became CERTAIN that Kristy lied about the assault a bit TOO early on, without sufficient evidence, I ended up right in the end but still might've jumped the gun on that one too quickly lol
