I love my broad fork. I broke my original with wooden handles. I was way to hard on it. I upgraded to one called "meadow creature". It's all steel, kind of heavy, but it'll dig anything up. I like your technique. Nice and easy is what the broad fork is made for. I don't do it barefoot and I definitely would have hurt my feet if I did, but to each their own, garden at your own risk!. Thanks!

Thanks for the input! Meadow Creature looks awesome, but is unavailable in Europe. When I first started making these I wondered whether I should make metal handles but settled for wooden ones because they make the whole thing a lot lighter. I think of wooden handles as a safety fuse in an electric circuit. If you break a handle it means you are putting both your body and the tool under too much strain.

@@brunomotik8576 I'm sure you're right. Like I said, I was way too hard on mine, pulling up rocks and tree roots. That's cool that you make these. I hope you make a fortune! Cheers.

I’d like to see you try that in heavy clay soil , not the prepared topsoil you’re digging into what makes it more absurd ….. your in bare feet 😅boy you are priceless 😂
