Glad you liked that epic sound. The whole Savage album leads up, like a saga, to this ending. Amazing. That Skaparis Orchestra show was stunning, only topped by being back at Wembley for Intruder. More Gary please!

Wasn't sure he could top that orchestral show but Wembley managed it, and his show headlining Rebellion Festival won over a load of people who hadn't realised he did not just do old hits like most other bands that weekend

Good morning and Happy New Year you beautiful people 😁 The performance on this tour was truly one of those "you had to be there to really feel it" moments. The Skaparis Orchestra (Nordic- 'To Create') is based in Manchester, just up the road from me. I've been following them on social and been talking with the conductor here (Simon Robertshaw) about forthcoming projects. Simon, although a classically trained violinist, also plays bass guitar in a death metal band. It's complete polar opposites, but shows the versatility of the guy, who also happens to be a big Gary Numan fan, so no surprise he jumped at the opportunity to see out this project. I'm sure you'll agree, he did a fantastic job and the orchestra, made up of young, enthusiastic talent who broke the mould of 'classical stuffiness' and danced around, waving their arms in the air during non playing passages. Throughout the show, because of how Gary's music lends to a sympathetic string backing, many of his songs, old and new, really came to life, particularly 'Films' and 'My Breathing'. Your reaction is so wholesome.....as always. Big love from England 😊❤️

For reference, here is the original studio version, taken from the 2017 album "Savage: Songs From A Broken World". If you thought the live version should have been on the Dune soundtrack, this one fits that description even more so. Enjoy! kzitem.info/news/bejne/0rCp3I6miGN6kmk

It is a cracking song from savage songs from a broken world, it does have an element of orchestra in the song

The original sounds like this but is synths. Savage is a brilliant album and I was at this show, breathtaking.

I just listened to the original and, with the synth it sounds like something from the Battlestar Galactica reboot. Funny how we were just discussing Bear McCreary last night!

You must watch Lost live at the Roundhouse. Gary actually breaks down crying at the end because the song is about him losing his wife and family

I’m not nearly as familiar with his music as I should be. The rooster has epic timing! This wouldn’t be out of place on Dune, methinks. I’ve really missed out! This is right in my wheelhouse; guess I’m going to have me a deep dive! I’ve foind many of my favorite rock tunes being put to orchestral arrangement and sounding Huge!

Yay! You're back with Numan reactions! For your next one, I suggest you do a reaction to his song My Breathing, also with the Skaparis Orchestra. It's one of the *VERY* few songs from the mid-80s that he sometimes dusts off and performs. It is also one of my favourites, so I'm biased ;) kzitem.info/news/bejne/uayAmKRoeoFhYHo

This track was a real sea change in Gary but seemed short lived. An amazing track at that time. Another was Cold warning which was from Berserker I liked very much. But we know Gary, he never sticks in one place and that’s why we admire him. But he is very visual. He sees his Music. With the right Film score he could produce something quite extraordinary. Maybe his daughters are seeing great inspiration from his catalogue and they all seem keen on Music and have enormous admiration. A great father. And a true God Father of inspirational and influential music.

Not exactly stunning just Gary hitting random notes in the studio and getting Ade to flesh it out. Vocals are horrible on the Savage album.
