WOW !! Mike, you stirred up quite a hornets nest with your review etc. of the new Ford Bronco !! Some were, in my opinion, somewhat nasty !! Since immigrating to America (USA, in particular) over 42 years ago, one thing I have learned is that we are a land of choices !! Be it vehicles, food, housing, lifestyles and on and on. Mike Morgan is merely giving you HIS opinion of what his preferences are !! It doesn't mean that he's right, or not !! It's merely his opinion and what he prefers !! I have been following Mike for over approximately one year and generally agree with his comments. That's one of the things I really like (love) about this country - it's choices !! I trust Mike and Melissa in their opinions !! No need to get nasty folks !!

@@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans Being able to decide for yourself what to buy, what to drive, what to wear, is a great thing...having people tell you what you should buy, should wear, etc. on the other hand sometimes is quite comical....I just tell people that try and tell me what to do, that until they're paying my bills they have no say in what I do, and what I spend my hard earned money on. So any words from your dealer as to where your Bronco disappeared to? Personally I like the 2 door Bronco myself, but I have an 88 Bronco 2, it never had a 4 door option, and I don't have any need to carry passengers so for me a 2 door would be great, and a base model would be just fine for my needs....however to keep up with your Wrangler you'll need the offroad goodies from the Sasquatch package for sure. What's funny is the "Bronco" went into production a year plus before the Maverick, yet I've seen Mavericks sitting at dealerships, and out on the highways with registrations completed, yet haven't seen a single "Bronco" anywhere. Ford really FAILED miserably on this, and they cannot blame it on COVID, or supply issues, only on their piss poor management in the production system...the huge number of people who reserved/purchased one, they knew way in advance they really needed to kick up their production lines to meet demand, they never did, they actually shut them down instead for several months...so its only the fault of Ford that people are beyond pissed off that they haven't received their vehicles they ordered over a year ago.

Good morning all! Happy to see there’s some hope on the Bronco. I’m on the farm in the western Ozarks, about 80-90% of the way through the quarter mile stretch of fence we are clearing out. Lots of chainsaw work, but not big trees, with 6-8” being max, and those being short and stunted from right-of-way trimming that has happened in the past. I’ll walk the stretch with the pole saw to raise the clearance above the fence as much as I can, and we’ll either tie wires to good posts or replace bad ones with metal Tee posts. Our next trip in March might see the section entirely replaced. Or if we can find someone to do that, we’ll proceed to the next stretch north. We are seeing some deer, and it appears the rut is underway. Some nice bucks have been chasing doe. Have a good one!

If you very badly want a Bronco in your hands quickly, I suggest looking at surrounding states. My brother who lives in Oregon bought his Bronco in California and brought it back on a flatbed. Hard top wind noise is 100% caused by rack on top. If the cross bars are removable, remove them and the noise will disappear. Side roof rails will not cause noise but cross ones definitely will. Our Explorer came with only side roof rails and it had zero noise till I purchased crossed rails and put on, then a little noise. I then put on cargo rack and it's noisy, even on a sealed up one piece Explorer roof. But instead of putting on & off we just lived with it.... Looks good, very usable, but noisy with wind blowing over it.👍... Mel that Bronco color looks good with you.

Sounds more like a commercial for Ford than an actual comparison. The Bronco is full of "new" electronic technology and will be a money pit within a year, you can bet on it, the rear door hinges are NOT heavy duty, they will begin to show wear and stress pretty quickly, may take longer if you live in the city and have no rough roads. It is a personal choice but I can say the Jeep has been in production much longer, is built for off-road, and is a "proven" platform. IF I ever thought of looking at a (new) Bronco, I would wait a couple of years and let them figure out all the flaws and correct them, if they don't pull it off the market again.

@@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans I have driven both, and as you said, it is a personal preference on what you like, but to be honest, the new Ford Bronco is no comparison to the Jeep. Maybe in a few years, if it stays in production, they can correct the issues, but to be honest, the Bronco is a lower quality product than the Jeep. I was at the local Ford dealer, and they had one of the Bronco's in there for warranty work, roof leaking, door window stop working, in the down position, wheel wobble, and the camera wasn't working. I'll stick to the proven product.

@@jamielawson1534 You sound like a non-objective fanboy Jamie. I have neither, and will buy neither. Many of my friends and a few co-workers have Wranglers of all years old and new, and they are plagued by problems. Fluid leaks being a constant. Always something to fix. They do not mind because they like driving them and many like working on them but to act like they are “tried and true” is a joke. If you want tried and true you buy a Toyota 4Runner, Tacoma, Land Cruiser etc. The Bronco came out and addressed a ton of wish list items of the jeep owners and allowed better customization straight from the factory. Honest Jeep people admit it, even if they prefer Jeep better. I know a couple that are switching as they like the styling of the Bronco better. Just personal choice. These Broncos have been well test in the wild and have been given great reviews for OR capabilities and in side by side with Jeeps have shown in many ways where they are superior straight from the factory. For sure New Broncos Gen 1 are going to have issues. They will address them. But Jeeps still have tons of issues. In the end, the competition raises the game for both companies. Take off you Jeep blinders for a bit. Bronco may not be for you and it is not for me, but It did a lot of cool things straight from factory. As for looks, I will take the Bronco over the Jeep every time. Just a personal choice.

@@jbessling you know what you can do with that "fanboy" comment, but that's why they make different types of vehicles, everyone likes something different. I have owned jeeps throughout the years, don't have one now, and I have owned the old Bronco's which were great vehicles, in looks and performance. But, just in my opinion, this new Bronco is a desperate attempt to gain a foothold in the off-road market and my guess is they won't be in production that long. There are Ford fans, Chevy fans, and Mopar fans, but the issue here was trying to make these cheap knockoffs sound better than what they are. You talk about leaks, lol, I guess you figure the Detroit, Cummins, and Cat engines are junk too because they all leak like a sift? You may not like the jeep, but I'll take one of them over many of what's out there, including those Toyota's you mentioned.

The Ranger and the Bronco have almost nothing in common besides being on the same assembly line. I just traded in a 2021 Ranger Lariat Tremor, which is the best off road version of the Ranger sold in the USA. Full Fox 2.0 setup. Great truck, but absolutely garbage compared to my Badlands Sasquatch I'm driving now. Ranger is very light weight compared to the Bronco. Compare the control arms for an example. You could make both Ranger upper control arms with one to spare out of a single Bronco upper control arm. The suspension travel distance is insane. You can match a Rubicon nearly dead on in flex with IFS benefits. The Bronco is worthy of the praise, and I'm a Jeep guy. Or, was. Still love em.. but the Bronco is just that good.

( to proof your thoughts & comments..if temporarily took it off ..it'd prove ..your thoughts & theries. ) If after market or Ford came up w a soft rubber material to run down side of rail system of rack ( kinda like a Skirt Effect to keep road noise air fr getting under rack. , lol ) , still letting a guy get straps under around the rack for tieing down lodge & stuff..

I'm not a red guy but the rapid red is an awesome color. I have a 21 f350 that is rapid red and I really have fallen for the color. I'm usually a dark blue or black color person. I really think that you guys are going to love the color hopefully you will be getting it soon.

Before you take the doors off you will roll them all the way down to be protected inside the door. But I really like that bronco, wish my wife wanted one as I need my ram for towing and hauling. Congrats on the loaner.

I really like the Bronco, especially with some mods. Last year I had to decide between ordering a Bronco or a Mercedes G wagon. Decided for the G thinking I would have to wait longer for it. Well I have my G for 4 month know and the Bronco still wouldn’t have been delivered I think. Great comparison Mike.

With the roof rack, you may want to try either removing or sliding the front crossbar as far back on the roof rack as you can, that will help reduce or eliminate some of the wind noise the roof rack may be producing (also will tell you if some of the noise is the rack or the roof itself). Personal opinion, the lower body work, below the doors and above the steps guards looks terrible! It is SO visible that they should have done some trim or something to cover it up (it is on all vehicles but is usually tucked under enough to not stand out like it does on the Bronco). Maybe there are/will be aftermarket solutions, it just looks unfinished, like something is missing or fell off. Anyways, have a good one!

You made the right choice on the engine. A 4 cylinder with a turbo will wear out a lot faster.

Not sure I like the need for the window to drop before the door can open. What happens when you get a thick glaze of freezing rain that prohibits the window from functioning?? Door stuck shut??

You can order the front bumper steel on the rubicon,, now as far as Bronco vs Jeep (esp a Rubicon) there simply is no comparison ,, Jeep Rubicon is undisputed leader in off road and wont be unseated anytime soon..

"Order yours NOW!" Maybe not. The auto industry has a long history of first-year maladies. No matter how many test miles, computer what-if scenarios, when vehicles hit the market problems always crop up. I think Ford has already seen this with problems with Bronco roofs. Also consider Ford is under tons of pressure to pump out as many Broncos as possible to meet demand, and you have the perfect storm. Me, I'd wait.

Except with Ford, in 20 years they'll still have the same failure prone recall parts being used. You'd think with all the technology today we'd have far less failures, but with all the electronics put into today's vehicles all the wiring, micro computers, switches, relays, etc. problems are gonna run rampant in all vehicles...the engine and transmission might be capable of lasting 20 years, but everything electronic that controls them will keep them from lasting beyond their factory warranty, if you are lucky enough to have one last that long without electronics gremlins.

@@jackpoage5419 Depends, some automakers never correct 1st year production problems, they just keep on using the same garbage year after year. I waited till the 2nd year of the 2nd Gen Tundra and it wasn't any better than the 1st year production run, the problems that truck had were terrible for supposedly being from Toyota a company that used to be known for their quality vehicles...it was anything but quality.

Wait till you hat about 50 miles on it and you have turbo problems. They are shoving a lot of power into that small motor and it isn’t going to last.
