Did anyone else notice the Japanese lyrics becoming more prominent as the video went on? Or am I imagining that

As an Asian American who grew up feeling like I needed to be less Asian and less in touch with my culture only to now regret doing that now that I’m an adult, thank you for writing this song and just putting that feeling into words. You’re music continues to be so amazing. ❤️

I'm full Japanese growing up in Toronto Canada, I just hear this song for the first time a few days ago and had me in tears😭. The voice and the lyrics are so beautiful and moved me greatly as I had felt the same way both as a teen and an adult. I've been sharing this song a lot on my social media and will do a violin cover later this year🎻🎶. Although I see this video was uploaded a year ago I'm going to try to spread your heartfelt message through my social media. Thank you Brooke and I will definitely listen to your other songs as well. I enjoyed Couch Potato 😆

Growing up with a Pakistani dad I regret him never teaching me of my culture. So much I missed out on. So much I don’t understand about my own culture. So much to learn it seems impossible. So much regret. Feels good to know i’m not the only one who feels this way

I learned everything I could about Puerto Rico, I know more history, background, and information about my island than maybe the people on it. Visit when I can and continue to learn. as a third generation immigrants listening to this song, I regret not being able to speak my grandparents' language. never got to truely understand their struggle, their dreams. did not show how much I appreciate them coming over here, for me to get a chance to be born.
It’s not too late for all of these things. It’s never too late until it’s too late. Keep it up. You’re going to go far ❤

いい歌だと思うし今となってごめんと思えたのは良かったと思うけどなんかやっぱ日本とかアジアってそうゆうふうに思われてんのかと思って純日本人としては悲しくなった I think it's great song and i'm grad that she rethink and be proud of Japan but still, i feel kind of sad as a pure Japanese by realizing that asia is considered in that way
