As a fire captains daughter, a firefighter sister, soon to be firefighter but right now a fire dispatcher sister, and a fire explorer sister... this truly touched my heart. I know of a couple of Firefighters that were friends with my dad who passed away. And the fact that a couple days after 9/11 my dad and a couple of other firefighters went to go help the wives of fallen firefighters, and whose husbands passed away. My dad and the firefighters mowed their yard and did all the things that there husbands would do. Thank You to All First Responders and God Bless You❤️❤️🚒🚒

I got trapped and thought I wasn't going to make it home that night. We all know the risks but every morning I hug my fiance and let her know how much I love her I case that day is my final call and I lose my life. To all .t brothers and sisters out there. Continue fighting. We all have you back. My channel is dedicated to my family since that bad call. My fellow Firefighters didn't give up on me. Great song. I have been a police officer for 40 years and have seen way more tragedy than I ever wanted to. One night thirty years ago my wife heard those sirens as my partner went to my house to take her to the hospital and tell her I had been shot in the chest. I cannot imagine being on that end of that night. I thank God every day that not only did I make it, but WE did too.

Granddaughter of a 30 plus year firefighter from Sydney Nova Scotia Canada, who raised 4 children alone as a single father after his wife left when his youngest was 5 years old, this makes me think of him he retired as Captain in 1994 and died in 2005, I don't remember him to well because I was only 7, but my father (his second youngest) always tells us stories about him, like one night there was a fire in a house and a (heavier)woman was trapped on the second floor and he told her to jump and that he would catch her and he did, for years after she would send him letters, this is how I choose to remember him, the strong single father that would do anything to save anyone no matter the risk to him self, not the sick older man that I remember, but the one from my fathers stories. RIP Papa. In memory of Captain John MacCormack

Growing up I spent a lot of my time at the fire station and his fellow fire fighters told me that they thought I would become a fire fighter also. When I was in junior high school my father's lungs collapsed. He recovered and went back to work. When i hear sirens I start praying... There's no time to worry. My hometown is tiny and I started volunteering with the emergency services when I was 14 years old. We all knew each other and even though we were on separate teams it felt like we were one big family. Every time I hear sirens I never know who they are going to help or who is on the job, on the truck or at the office, it could be someone I know or a stranger. I will keep praying til my dying breath for emergency services / first responders everywhere, for the staff at the doctors, hospitals and for the families. Blessings from South Eastern Australia, Dot

I can't stop listening to this. These lyrics hit a special part of my soul. You can't help but to stop what you're doing and let it sink in that these are the men and women that keep us safe 24/7, and not because they have to. They deserve a lot more love and respect than they receive. I want to be a cop, and I'm already extremely grateful for these beautiful lyrics.

My dad is a Police Officer of 35 years and has been through it all and has had to bury two of his friends that were killed in the line of duty. Thank You for this! Absolutely AMAZING and Beautiful song!! My dad is a Police Officer here in LaGrange Georgia and has been a Lieutenant for the City Of LaGrange Police Department for 20 years and has worked at that Department for 30 years and another 5-7 years at various other agencies. My mother is a retired Paramedic/Firefighter for the Columbus Fire Department of 20 years and was shot in the line of duty in 1994 on a 911 Call for a domestic violence call that turned into a standoff that lasted 8-10 hours and left her with four bullet holes. The man high on meth and drunk opened fire with an AR15 and four of those rounds fired from that weapon hit the ambulance she was sitting in and riddled her rig with 100+ rounds and she was hit four times. She survived and was pinned down with her young new partner and a female Columbus police officer and a Off duty male police officer that lived in the neighborhood that came in his boxers and white shirt and patrol boots and pulled her from the driver seat and was all being shot at for 5 hours before being able to get over backyard fences to an awaiting ambulance and police. This song is truly spine tingling to listen to and I was truly in tears watching it. Thank You from The Olson Family!! - LaGrange, Troup County Georgia.

A Thousand Miles Beautiful tribute to our first responders. I ran across this song and I cried my eyes out. My husband and I are no strangers to putting our lives on the line. He and I were former US Army. My husband is looking into being a police officer. He's in school for Criminal Justice so realizing the danger he's going to be in has been a eye opener. I am praying to God that he stays safe In all he does. God Bless You both for your beautiful tribute
