Going through the rubble of an old German WW2 base and found some great relics.
I was invited by two Dutch diggers, Nigel and Laurent, who took me to one of their permissions. A place where once a big Military base was situated during the second World War. This place was torn down after it was taken over by the Allied forces. There was some fierce fighting in the area too, so a very interesting place to visit and metal detect. My friends René, Raoul and Jeff came along too and brought a HUGE ground sifter to go through the rubble and see if anything would pop up.
Relics did pop up, and sifting there turned out to be a great success!
Can't say this enough; Please go give all these nice men a follow on their Instagram! Would appreciate it if you do.

FAQ:
-Do you report things found to the authorities?
Yes, all nasty things found like UXO's and finds that could be important from an archaeology perspective are reported to the local authorities.
-Do you sell finds?
I am a collector myself so I hardly sell relics. But if I do then I'll post it on the social media pages or think about becoming a Patron, because I'll share finds with my Patrons (check out the Patreon website for details).
-How do you gain permission for metal detecting?
Check out local laws regarding metal detecting and get permission from the landowner. Or hook up with a local metal detecting club in the area you would like to detect and get your information from them. (I stopped responding to questions like this all together, please go google that yourself).
-Can I come with you?
No.
-Will you marry me?
No, lets just be friends.
