Wow! Your channel is just what I needed for a morale boost! I have a Brown Bess flintlock which I use when re-enacting the Revolutionary War & the War of 1812. In fact, my wife re-enacts with me, and makes most of my historical attire. Evidently, you & I share a number of mutual interests which include WWII memorabilia. My dad served as a military policeman during WWII, attaining the rank of Sgt. I grew up with military surplus gear for camping & Scouting becuase we could not afford anything else. I have quite a bit of WWII collectibles & a small collection of military knives. I found the very interesting info about your small family farm & endeavors to be a self-reliant family. In 2004 I retired ffrom a large church in NW Alabama & we moved to NE AL to assist my aging parents.Daddy died recently at age 101+ and Mamma is still living at 102. Until it was necessary for them to move to a care-giving facility, they lived across the drive from us. We live on a 2.6 acre wooded, water- front lot; & we tended a small garden until I had serveral back surgeries. Now we support our local farmers & produce stands. We can lots of food to share with the younger generations of our family. I also am still serving a small countury church acroiss the lake from where we live. I accepted God's call to preach 63 years ago. I sometimes refer to myself as the Old Preacher. I look forward to watching as many of your videos as I can; & sharing my thoughts if you wish to continue our converations. May God bless you & your family, as well as, your many viewers.
