One of the many arguments of constitutionally limiting the size and scope of government is the fact that most constitutions only last 50 to 75 years. Obviously, we are not taking into consideration the negative ramifications of the powers given government, or our Constitutions would last longer than just a few generations. Society finds out time and time again that the political policies enacted seldom accomplish their intended goals and the side effect/contraindications end up being worse than the benefits. One example, we now have close to 100 million people living at or near the poverty line despite the Great Society enactments by the Democrats during the Johnson Administration. Another example is the military buildup during the Reagon Republican republican controlled Administration. Our military is now 1/4 our annual budget of over $4 trillion and we outspend all other of the next 11 largest defense spending countries "Combined". Between these two major budgetary costs, we now have to borrow $1 trillion annually. "President Reagan increased the debt by 186 percent. Reaganomics added $1.86 trillion. Reagan's brand of supply-side economics didn't grow the economy enough to offset the lost revenue from its tax cuts. That was partly because Reagan increased the defense budget by 35 percent. Richard Nixon: Added $121 billion, a 34 percent increase from the $354 billion debt at the end of President Johnson's last budget, FY 1969. FY 1974 - $17 billion. FY 1973 - $31 billion. FY 1972 - $29 billion. FY 1971 - $27 billion. FY 1970 - $17 billion. Lyndon B. Johnson: Added $42 billion, a 13 percent increase from the $312 billion debt at the end of President Kennedy's last budget, FY 1964. FY 1969 - $6 billion. FY 1968 - $21 billion. FY 1967 - $6 billion. FY 1966 - $3 billion. FY 1965 - $6 billion. I give you both the Johnson and the Nixon stats because as we all know, it takes time for the effects of a new set of government policies to be created and go into full effect. Nixon surely was handed some expenses and debt but he of course, created some more on his own as they all have. It proves there are vast systemic problems that are drastically affecting "most often negatively" the majority. Our founding fathers, of course, knew this as well and tried to set up a democratic republic that would be restained by protecting private property and the other rights necessary to protect them. If you think about it, it wasn't until 1942 that government was able to trick the majority into paying a Federal personal income tax, the Victory Tax Act. Before that only the wealthy paid income taxes and it was only on certain activities and goods. But of course, that history has been well shielded by the gatekeepers of the ruling class.

So Trump hasn't been running around starting wars with out consent of Congress, that was Obama. Then what is he talking about with Trump dismissing "commons" (house of reps)? That whole stream of thought made no sense.
