I haven"t listened to this wonderful recording for a long time. The Concerto in f minor is superb. Bruce here is a true romantic with the whole gamut of feelings of a loving heart. His sound is a sensual and noble, flexible and piercingly tender. There is no empty virtuosity in the Finale. Graceful, beautiful, colorful, some kind of joy of the soul. Again, Bravo, Bruce! And thanks! And how Bruce breathes freely in the Concerto e-moll. In an ensemble with an orchestra, he is the absolute leader. High pathos is combined with poetry and lyricism filled with deep feelings. And no subtlety, no submissivenes, on the contrary, the will to overcome, the will to live. Bruce is so free here it's as if he is improvising. Well, the Finale is his "hit", universally recognized, unsurpassed. This is Bruce Lew's Fryderyk Chopin. I accept!!! Thank you!

Love both the concerti performed by this amazing artist virtuoso 🎉👏👏👏 I especially love the F minor concerto in which his playing of the second movement (Larghetto) is the most beautiful and heart-felt I have ever heard 🎵♥️🩷 And in the first movement his interpretation of the development theme (con anima dolciss ritenuto) is just so heart wrenching and sweet that it makes me cry every time I hear it 🎶♥️🩷

Congratulation, Bruce! I was convinced by the elegiac, poetry and even softness of the F-minor concerto( which, as you know, Chopin wrote first)/ and the passion-inspired energy of the E-minor. I hear logic in that order.( I note that the brass in the orchestra could have been more delicate-especially bassoon, sorry). Bach's clean, strict and deep sound was very piercing. Well. the waltz is just a brilliance! Thanks!!!!!

P.S. To be honest, the second part of the concerto in E- minor-Romance- was not fully calculated in terms of sound balance.Romance-here the piano should be free and main. Bruce had to fight. I am sorry. ...And yet it was brilliant! Bravo!

The first (my preference between the 2 concertos) was great, every note delicately played by Bruce Liu, except the insensitive section of the orchestra playing intrusively loud. and destroying the beauty of certain passages.Or should the blame be on the conductor? Most likely! The second concerto, I felt lacked sensitivity and somehow played too hard and too heavy. This orchestra is definitely not a CHOPIN orchestra! Best was the orchestra during the Chopin competition finals in Warsaw, who played in perfect harmony with the pianist.
