Reynolds was an extremely intelligent man and was clearly the brains of the whole operation. Michael Caine owes everything to Reynolds, in terms of his developed, bespectacled London hard man.

I have pictures of a Lotus MK1 cortina that belonged to Bruce. He bought it in 1963 with some of the proceeds. The Police confiscated it. It has been looked after by the Police and started up on a regular basis. It still has the same mileage on it from when Bruce used it last. Had it belonged to my dad I would want to see it. I would gladly share these with Nick if he hasn't already seen it although I have looked for a contact to no avail.

Bruce Reynolds let it be known was a criminal, yet he is treated with respect as if he was a university lecturer. That is in total contrast to Ronnie Biggs who was a cheeky chappie, and considered a danger to society, and never forgiven by Jack Mills family, I don't know about Reynolds.

Reading his book , the lifestyle (in between prison) led by Reynolds would rival that of any film or rock star , the train robbery was just too big for the authorities to treat as a normal robbery , and Reynolds champagne lifestyle was over , shame , top geezer.

I believe Ronnie Biggs to be a selfish man. While his wife and children were in Australia a car accident saw the death of their child he never bothered, never talked about it. Had that been my child I would of come back for the funeral, got arrested and served the rest of my sentence and done right by my family. I think Les any Man would do the same. Take care buddy.

That's it they basically attacked the Establishment The Queens Mail and the Suits in the Corridors of Power couldn't let that be seen as a green light to start similar events but it's like Reynolds said the Train Robbers got 25/30 years & not 1 Gun was used & he said every Robbers going armed cos you'll get 30 yrs anyway & that's what happened.

You do know the Law don't you? Just because you are a known Criminal doesn't mean you should be in Prison, firstly you have got to be caught committing a Crime then Charged then have your day in front of the Judge where you are Innocent until Proven Guilty.

@@northof-62 yes I know that, he was a career criminal do you think I'm stupid of course he had Previous, almost all Career Criminals have a Record but at the time of the GTR he was as free as a bird, if he was locked up for just being a Criminal active or not would mean that he was living in a Dictatorship of sorts and the last time I checked the UK was not one.
