This was the tour I first witnessed, at age 16... I climbed in back and heaven truly was waiting. It was Feb 1975, Widner College, Chester, PA. He looked like this too... the knitted cap was the look that night. It's hard to believe it's been a lifetime and it still sounds good today. Thx for the great share.

Thank you!!!! Closest version I have yet found to match one I have on a bootleg vinyl that I can no longer listen to, as I haven't got a record player any more. Thanks again!

a good record player is easy to find and not too expensive. this boot is also on cd, but spin those records. stick to technics, jvc, and avoid cheap mp3 and replica things. $200 will get you feeling like youre in the room. or sell me your records. best live albums i have are boots. way better than the released, cleaned up ones that get released. roxy music, cheap trick, zeppelin, even dylans live 66 sounds better than the one they finally released...the boot you hear him talking to the Band and instructing them to "play fucking hard!". most legit live albums are a wash...especially Budakon. they really tear it up on the radio broadcast. if a big time act wont release a true live album, bootlegs are necessary.

this is on a bootleg, the only 75 track, best version ive heard, im not a huge fan...but this is unbeatable. definitely a small venue feel. nothing like seeing a great band in a small place, really different experience than the arenas. cant believe this is not on a legit release.

If only he wasnt pushed to be a star and had a few albums like his first. He almost gave the Ramones "Hungry Heart" which he wrote after seeing them. Both the Ramones and his manager talked him down. Greetings... was so good, but he kinda lost me after he became stadium big.

Greetings was 1973, the Stadium tour was 1985...Bruce jumped the shark after The River IMO

Errrm - no they weren't. Not always. Bootlegs were pressed on vinyl as well. You are aware of what bootlegs actually are, I assume?

Hi David. Sorry can't tell you for definite as there are no markings or logo on either the vinyl or the sleeve. It's one of the pressings from The Bottom Line 15th Aug 1975. It's not the 'rare' set with the additional EP just 2 LPs in single cardboard sleeve. I love the cover of mine though, it's a classic Bruce and Clarence 'pose' - rather than the version you usually come across of just Bruce in his white tee and cap :) And the Thunder Road is definitely different from the video on here :)

this is off a boot of 78 era stuff, this being the first track and only 75 track. its also on a cd. dont know the name of it, but its the best version ive heard...has a small club feel. big difference between 75 and 78 (he was huge by 78...filling big arenas, where 75 was the turning point year, i guess. Many bootlegs of Bruce, this one is mostly 78 stuff...except this. Nothing tops this version for me, but im no superfan. First album is overlooked. Nebraska is probably my favorite. Scattered tunes. i love those 70s boots that had a similar "look" on the cover...as if the same people were getting them pressed. Just wonder how they got the quality of sound...soundboard ones? gotta be more mics hanging around...though the radio broadcasts are usually the best.

always on vinyl...before cassettes were big or even a thing. there were "fake labels" behind many, which had the same look. people like springsteen have so many bootlegs, its hard to keep track. there are websites dedicated to just his (or whoevers) bootlegs. if you enter or search and artist "live" and "year" chances are youll find plenty of "ripped from vinyl" unauthorized albums...vinyl being the medium of choice for the kind of nut (like me) that seeks them out. usually blank labels on vinyl...sometimes different colors, but obviously not legit.
