Hey Chef, I like you occasionally forget things (I am 72) in the recipe and I forgot to add the lemon zest. I made them last night, Sunday, 8 September 2024 and they were deliciously. This morning, I realized I forgot the zest, so I added it now, warmed them all up and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! They were all the more delicious. I used agave syrup and balsamic vinegrette too with the bacon, shallots, and I used a vidalia onion with 2 sliced carrots. So good and yummy. My wife of 50 years is not with me as she has Dementia of the Alzheimer's type and is in a memory care facility. I am cooking for myself and I enjoy doing so. Brussel sprouts became my absolute favorite vegetable a few years ago, and I love seeing new ways to prepare and cook them. I have never tried sauteing them, only roasting in the oven. I love the nutty, earthy, flavor of the charred leaves. Only recently have I begun to add a drizzle of balsamic vinegar on them. I actually haven't even used bacon yet. Just EVOO with S&P. But I KNOW, ABSOLUTELY KNOW, that everything Chef Jean-Pierre has added for flavor and, the method, is going to be top notch in texture and flavor. I just need to stop at Chef JPs online store to purchase a bottle of his delicious balsamic and some oil. His flavor infused oils are so good. And good quality too. I may even buy some cookware because he has all the best brand names with excellent quality and at reasonable prices. Its almost like buying direct from the Manufacturer price wise, but it's all in one easy location. No need to visit separate manufacturers websites or stores. God Bless Chef Jean-Pierre 🙏 and God Bless America 🙏 💪😎🇺🇸

I have been making them this way for years! Even people who don’t like sprouts love these! If you parboil a little less, then shock and drain, they will store in the fridge beautifully, then when you need them a really quick sear, they’ll be a little under done, but don’t worry! Put then in a buttered boat, top with a light coat of coated and cheesed bread crumbs and broil hot until just tender.
Or you can use a good oven safe skillet instead of a boat for family style
