Great job and a wonderful interview. Seems like such a positive person who will do very well in the next few years. Oh yes, move on up to the 1500. best of luck.

Something was going on this year. First through seventh place at the Olympics all ran 1:42.XX. 12 months ago nobody was running that fast.

There's very likely a new PED that's undetectable without taking very low doses of it. *Hoppel may very well be like Carl Lewis. Talking about others doping, while definitely doping but so confident that he things nobody will ever prove it.

It was definitely time for some sub 1:43s but yeah this many is definitely out of the norm. I might not be 100% correct with all these stats but I believe from 2020-2022 there were zero sub 1:43s which made it some of the weakest years in memory and I think 2023 only had 2 sub 1:43s at the DL final other then that there weren’t any all season so for there to be almost 4 down years in the 800 it was time but now to all the sudden have 5 athletes break 1:42 and many go low 1:42 and rewrite the top 10-15 it does seem a little strange to me

He's got a great friend and training partner in Hobbs Kessler to help him get there. I don't think it would be too hard of a transition for Bryce. Could easily see him running sub 3:50 for the mile in 2025.

What makes you think he's clean? Negative tests absolutely don't mean someone's clean. And being vocally against doping doesn't mean someone is clean either. Carl Lewis set a great precident with that

You realise Hoppel improved his PB the same amount as Sedjati right? And improved on last year's SB by 0.7 seconds more than Sedjati, plus Sedjati was the silver medalist in Eugene 2 years ago meanwhile Bryce hasn't medalled outdoors ever. There's no credible evidence that would lead you to say Sedjati is doping whilst Hoppel isn't.

@@AJT127the problem is only one guy had himself and his coach investigated for doping. We obviously don’t know enough to judge if that was on the up-and-up or if they got anything

@@notorious414 because Algerian and Moroccan athletes are targeted more by AIU. People were accusing Sedjati of cheating before he even ran his first 1:41 this year Mind you, I’m not actually saying he’s clean, I’m just saying that there are 5-10 other athletes who improved the same amount or more this season and he’s getting all the suspicion somehow.
