Def worth checking out 'moritz klein' on KZitem for this. Great synth diy channel where he explains the electronics and then does step by step breadboard builds.

This looks and sounds amazing. For the people asking for schematics, he's linked his blog in the About page of his channel. He goes over each of the sections in detail there. I'd post a link directly, but I forgot that KZitem will auto hide comments with URLs in them and so my previous comments got removed or hidden or something. Anyway at the end of his blog post you can get the link to his bandcamp where you can listen to the song he teased at the end of this video.

Very inspiring! I love breadboard builds, i find them more relaxing than pcb design/layout. Feels a bit like puzzling to make it all neat and tidy. I did build a Thomas Henry 555VCO on breadboard at some point. It's a bit larger than René's VCO, but def worth it: you get extra Sine and Triangle Waves, and a super cool 'hard sync' input. All standard Parts too! (Based on 555 and LM13700)

do those lfos only use one op amp each? sounds perfect! could i see a schematic please
@massimookissed1023
Жыл бұрын
They are "relaxation oscillators" which just use one opamp as an inverter with hysteresis. (Much like the hex Schmitt trigger oscs.) They give a square wave output, but a 2 opamp 8 pin chip could use the 2nd opamp to buffer the voltage on the oscillator's capacitor to give a sharktooth wave output.
