I’m still shocked that this is still an issue, I have 2 R10’s and they’re laser beam accurate, if someone without your knowledge and tooling paid hard cash for that it would have been returned to BSA. To buy 2 faulty guns is very unlucky. I hope it gets resolved because like I said. My R10’s are pellet on pellet time and time again. Still nice work though. Very tidy job 👍

Would be interesting to see if other BSA R12s had the same problem of leaving the pellet short of the rifling or if this barrel has been damaged at both ends. That is a major flaw for such a renowned manufacturer, definitely stitched you up with a Friday afternoon build with this one.

Its a shame that the negative Nancy's still can't get that this channel gives honest reviews, How to advice and visual help to others that would otherwise struggle. Big companies do take note as some of their ideas have mysteriously appeared on new launch products. If the 'negatives' can be bothered to read comments, a lot of people do get a lot of problems straight out of the box and its channels like this that highlight it and hopefully the manufacturers quality control will improve. If you want flaky, biased, everything is wonderful reviews, stick to the endorsed s*!*t .

Still the most informative KZitem channel for sorting poor quality control and making repairs or improvements. It's odd that some KZitem channels have incredible grouping even on a windy day aar??? My gripe with sub 12 is that it's all very well having anti tamper methods in place to stop you turning up the power. What about turning it down as the owner remains liable.

Pretty sure if I bought one of these it would be just like the one that you have! Watch and read all the reviews and then when you get one you waste thousands of pellets testing everything you can get your hands on before eventually getting rid of the thing. I’ve owned 4 Anschutz rim fires over the years and none of them have been as good as they should have been. Bought a CZ 455 that had some rifling missing part way down the barrel. 2 FX Impacts that were unusable out of the box. Even my Ghost needed a complete new valve 100 shots in. Glad to see it’s not just me 😂😂 Very interesting videos- far better than watching TV!! Keep it up- thanks.

I know this is out of context, but could you have a look at the Snowpeak M60 at some time? Having just bought one I can say It could be an extremely good lightweight rifle, the only problems are a slight accuracy issue and it will only pump out 10.2 ft. I work on all my guns and I've had this one apart, the most I get this to is 10.2 otherwise the instructed adjustments start in an unexpected way. Other wise, a really nice bit of kit for the price. Have you tried pushing pellets various distances down the barrel, each time pushing them back up to the breech end? Examining all pellets as a means of identifying a problem somewhere down the barrel. Even if I couldn't find anything, I'd polish/lap the full inside length of barrel. I'd also consider, if the start of rifling is a step, "reaming" the start of rifling with emery cloth to create a smooth symmetrical pathway for the pellet.

Looking forward to your solution. Was the issue solved with the extended pellet probe? I am having a very similar issue with a recent purchase and it is most annoying. I've carried out several basic checks. I have checked the crown with your 'cotton bud' test and with a 20x Lupe and there is no obvious fault. I've cleaned and had a looked down (or up) the barrel with a torch and again nothing obvious. I have pushed a pellet through and the choke at the muzzle end feels on the tight side. Could it be the choke? I look forward to your follow on video. Great engineering skills with nice succinct narration.

I have had 8 rifles go through my hands. Only the Crown and one Flashpup were great from the box. Everything else had to be reworked somehow. AEA managed to fubar a transfer port (it was closed solid and had to be drilled), one Hatsan had a bent pin as well as a faulty barrel (shot too low and wildly inaccurate), the other had some dead orings and faulty cylinder and I could go on for all of them. It's usually a small problem which you either fix yourself (orings, TPs,...) or you bring the gun back to have the part replaced (I'm waiting for my barrel from Balistas so that I can use my flashpup again).

Shame to call them British small arms. How embarrassing for them. Complicated way to crown the barrel. I use a very thin tool with a large top rake angle and cut from the bore outwards using a skiving cut. No burr on the lands and far simpler than using a grinder....not desirable on your lathe!
