Suga definitely brings in the death blow. I imagine it like this. RM gets in the first hit. He's brutal from the start. He plays mind games raising that fear factor ya know. Jhope plays around with them, show a teeny tiny bit of slack. Good cop giving them a bit of hope that maybe they'll survive this. But Suga is bored. He just ends the game right there. His time is more precious than money itself afterall 😉

There's a reason the Cyphers end with Suga's verse. Puts the haters out of their misery lol

I love how you described the way each of them rapped! Something new for ARMY to say now also! I can’t remember if you watched BTS Hardships but, yes, eac he refers to their earlier times since this is the 1st cypher when RM went by Rap Monster. He mentions ‘Leader, Monster, Rap, Daddy and you caught Randa! Same with J-Hope mentioning Hope World, the hate he got was very intense in the beginning too, same with Suga when his part comes with his history. I still got to repeat how I love your analogy ‘RM raps with his mind and plays with your head, J-Hope raps and dances around the haters and Suga goes straight for the heart!’ or something like that you said. Bravo! Borahae Teej! 💜💜💜🇨🇦 Can’t wait for your next one!

Quick PSA: YAY the Cyphers! For future, the Cypher Medley is just that: a medley - all 4 Cyphers are represented but only the 4th one (the most recent one at time of filming the live concert) is performed fully. Enjoy.

Suga mentioned Chopin in his verse and is comparing himself to him. Chopin was a composer/pianist in the 19th century (1800s). This is from Wikipedia; 'He has maintained worldwide renown as a leading musician of his era, one whose "poetic genius was based on a professional technique that was without equal in his generation".'

I'm forever thankful that they had room in the group to just let loose with the cyphers, it's cathartic and so epic when any of these are brought out live, the crowd goes crazzzyyy! and you can see the growth of their style as well as their maturity and also just the passion that has always been with them through the years and their love for rapping in general really comes through. These songs are also made even better knowing how much frustration they were getting off their chests at the time and all the bs they've had to wade through just trying to do what they love.

Yes love the cyphers they just get better and better with each one. If you get a chance cyphers 3 live in Busan concert is next level, I don’t know what the rappers were on, but they went off. And I am glad that you will do the medley, as Cyper 4 hits differently with the crowd…

Definitely the Cyphers were geared at their haters. They got so much and they held their tongues so much. Then they let it out in the Cyphers. LOL. You can seriously see them level up through their Cyphers too. This is good with lyrics, but the flow isn't my favorite. Cypher 2 and 3 not sure which is my fave. I tend to like 3 most but then I'll hear Tryptick again. I'm not one to enjoy songs where rappers just go off on haters... unless its these 3 doing their thing. Ddaeng, Joke, Cyphers, Mic Drop, etc. They just do it so well, in multiple languages with such poetry and style. In terms of flow, I think 3 is my fave. About to go watch them all again and see if that's still how I feel. Thanks to you sharing your journey. ;)

I'm not surprised you picked up on their different approaches as well as you did, but I'm delighted 😁 you're so right. They do evolve over time, but some of it stays constant. RM's lyrics are intellectual a lot of the time, clever wordplay and deep thoughts. Hobi leans into melodic rap and generally hopeful concepts. Suga writes raw emotion and plays with pitch and breath a lot in his delivery. They're all super good at what they do, so who you like most is just personal preference. I tend to connect most with Suga and freaking love his choices.
