I am 58, weigh 175, a non-smoker, no heart issues in the family, and cycle 150 miles a week. In November, out of the blue, I had a heart attack and wound up in the hospital. Rich is spot on. @@cycleofforms8658 in defense of those overweight or underweight. Not everyone in what ever time line are able to diet, eat right or have access to weight control or exercise. Also the environments they live or work in aren’t conducive. While I’m the last person to defend unhealthy lifestyles, I’ve met many people who had easy lives then later exposed to highly stressful environments then either lost or gained weight and it wasn’t mental aptitude or mental control, it was incredible stress which produces cortisol and changes metabolism and hormones. China is having the same health problem we’ve been acclimated to now that they’ve resorted to adopting our sink or swim ideologies. I’ll take easier stress free lifestyles for $1000 Alex.

Agreed. It is a rare person who can constantly be around anything whether it be desired or not and not be influenced by it. You become part of what you are around. Choose wisely what and who you associate with. Your subconscious picks up everything in your environment although you are not consciously aware of it. Thus, you are influenced by everything without even knowing it.

I had some epic battles with my wife over socializing with her group of friends - most of whom are absolute energy vampires and idiots. I went along with it for a while early in our relationship, but I reached a point where I couldn't take it anymore and said no to just about any activity where they would be attending. Endless drama at these "dinner parties" that only got worse when the alcohol started taking effect. Almost invariably it was couple's drama that was front and center. My wife would get livid when I refused to accompany her, but I didn't care. I was done and, for me, that hill was worth defending. Don't like it, honey? I don't give a F. I'm an INTJ MB personality type and it took me a long time to realize that I need to guard my energy jealously.

It’s awesome to listen to you! As I’ve aged I’ve started to learn where to give my “Fs”. A good part of my life I’ve always tried to play the nice guy role! As we all know, the “ nice guys finish last” term has merit! I do feel that I’m a nice guy, but I’ve learned to be a nice guy when it actually counts! Meaning we all have to learn that putting yourself first is key! If a situation sucks you dry, don’t allow yourself to be in that situation! If it, for example, pisses off your wife..... so be it!

Another stellar production. Appreciate the content. Social media pressures us men to care and steals our attention if we let it. Societal cues from the effeminate gynocentric female imperative dictates we yield masculinity in lieu of emotional feminine expression instead. Feels before reals. We’re under societal pressure, we men. Do powerful celebrities, professional athletes, musicians, affluent high value entrepreneurs and successful individuals pay attention to social media and public opinions of any of us? No. No one cares. We think we’re important and believe that others care about what we think or do? No. People don’t really care and neither should we. Everyone should key in on their own interests and concentrate on their points of origin. Control your time, energy and resources and strive for excellence. Great content Rich!
