D. J. Irving, Dom Morris, and Travis Robinson have hopes that this season will be the best yet. Their Philadelphia roots have been a common bond for the three throughout their four years on the BU men's basketball team. Dom (MET'14) and Travis (SMG'14) played together at Philadelphia's Friends Central High School, where their team won back-to-back state titles. They also were on the same AAU basketball team, the Reebok Raiders. Just outside of Philadelphia, in Chester, Pa., D. J. Irving (MET'14) competed against Dom and Travis was a member of the AAU team Youth Interlock. The two AAU teams were big rivals in Philadelphia, where the atmosphere at a high school basketball game is as loud and exciting as at a professional game.
The BU three seniors have experienced ups and downs during their time here. As seniors the three tricaptains look to take BU basketball further than it has ever gone. "I'm not leaving BU without another championship ring," says D. J.
